Central cruises past Ben Franklin

Central rolled over Ben Franklin, 50-12, in a Public League Liberty matchup. Blake Schwartz scored two rushing touchdowns for the Lancers.

Gerrit Rosciolli was able to throw three touchdown passes and complete a two-point conversion passing play to add to Central's total.

Basheer Steed recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Tavion Rogers recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass.

Bicentennial League

New-Hope Solebury defeated host Jenkintown, 35-12. Nick Garritano scored three touchdowns - two rushing and one passing - for the Lions.

Boys' Soccer

Visiting Bensalem defeated host West Chester Rustin, 3-2, in a nonleague game. Adam Ali, Matt Corbett, and Zola Makenda each scored for the Owls.

In other nonleague action: Shea Morgan was the lone scorer in host Penncrest's 1-0 win over Plymouth Whitemarsh. Pat Hughes recorded nine saves for the shutout.

Host Wilson-West Lawn lost to North Penn, 2-0. Matt Kohler scored both goals for the Knights and Luke McMahon had an assist. Bobby Dean recorded five saves.

Girls' Soccer

Council Rock North defeated host Archbishop Wood, 2-0, in a nonleague game. Kayla Robinson and Mia Scalamandre each scored a goal for the Indians. Carly Riggs made three saves and earned her fifth shutout of the season.

In other nonleague action:

Host Neshaminy defeated Cumberland Valley in overtime, 2-1. Emily Tantala tied the game for the Redskins, sending it into overtime, where Brianna Tobin scored the winning goal.

Catholic Academies. Villa Maria defeated host St. Basil, 3-0. Freshmen Maddie Byrne and Murphy Sweeney scored their first career varsity goals. Audrey Fantazzia rounded out the scoring for the Hurricanes.

Field Hockey

Visiting Hill School defeated host Pennington, 6-3, in a nonleague game. Lexi Davidson led the scoring for the Blues with three goals. Alexis Grippo scored two goals and Sarah Esserman added one.

In other nonleague action:

Upper Perkiomen defeated host Radnor, 4-1. Abriana Gatto scored all four goals for the Indians. Liz Pierson made seven saves.
