Pa. Boys: C.B. East edges C.B. South, 51-47

Seger finished with nine points. He triggered the team's 9-2 run early in the fourth. Tommy Strasburger scored 16 points, grabbed six rebounds, and hit a pair of threes. Matt Pattyson had five assists and four steals.

Also in the Suburban One:

Will Desautelle scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds to help Council Rock North roll past visiting Neshaminy, 60-40.

Clifton Moore blocked seven shots and grabbed 11 rebounds as Hatboro Horsham cruised past visiting Quakertown, 61-32.

Xzavier Malone's season-high 30 points led Plymouth Whitemarsh past visiting Upper Dublin, 61-38. Oakley Spencer had 10 assists and seven rebounds. Mike Lotito added eight rebounds and three steals.

Central. Terrell Jones scored 20 points and Jeremy Horn chipped in 16 to lead Lower Merion over host Strath Haven, 69-61, in overtime.

Jack Donaghy's 20 points led visiting Haverford High past Radnor, 50-41.

Julian Wing scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half as visiting Ridley pulled away to top Springfield (Delco), 51-33.

Friends. DeAndre Hunter dished out five assists and scored 17 points as Friends' Central knocked off host Shipley, 67-59. Myles Robinson aided the effort with 17 points and eight rebounds.

Bicentennial. Danny Duffey scored 20 points and Nick Smolda added 12 points as Lower Moreland turned away visiting Church Farm, 62-56.

Football

Andre Mintze, a hard-charging defensive end who helped Imhotep Charter go 15-0 and win the PIAA Class AAA state title last season, announced his commitment to Vanderbilt on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound senior also considered Delaware, Massachusetts, and Villanova. He helped the Panthers hold foes to an average of 6.3 points per game.

West Catholic's Tymir Oliver, a 6-4, 265-pound senior defensive end, committed to play at Illinois on Sunday. After pledging to Rutgers in August, he reopened his recruitment last month.

Rashon Lusane, a 6-foot-1 senior multipurpose player from Malvern Prep, committed to play at Morgan State. His teammate, senior tight end Ian Murray (6-6, 205) committed to Lafayette
