Pa. Boys: Pa. boys: C.B. East secures Suburban One Continental crown

With a 4-2 win Tuesday at Central Bucks South, the Patriots' clinched their 10th division title in the last 12 years.

Tied 1-1 at the half, Evan Vare scored three straight goals for the Patriots in the first 14 minutes of the second half.

"South played with a little more urgency in the first half," Central Bucks East coach Mike Gorni said. "In the second half, we had more urgency and worked much harder in the transitional phase and ended up getting our goals from that."

Joey Bowen scored a first-half goal for the Patriots. Colin Fagan had both for C.B. South.

Central Bucks East is 15-0.

Suburban One National. Matt Bachman and Juan Castillo scored in the first half of Abington's 2-0 shutout at Bensalem. David Pohli had an assist. Sam Wells made seven saves.

Dylan McDonald scored in the first 30 seconds, Dan Grindrod scored four minutes later, and Neshaminy shut out host Council Rock North, 2-0.

Conner Weiss scored in the 30th minute to give William Tennent a 1-0 win at Council Rock South. Joe Lees made four saves.

Central. Conestoga clinched its second straight league championship and fifth in six seasons with a 4-0 shutout at Penncrest. Zach Brink, Chris Donovan, Dan Leiser, and Mason Miller scored.

Ryan Young scored the winner in overtime to send Radnor over host Marple Newtown, 2-1.

Catholic. Steve Paul made four saves to earn his 10th shutout and give Father Judge a 2-0 victory over visiting St. Joseph's Prep. Sean McCormick and Marcelo Ibarra each scored.

Public. Xavier Fanny scored the winner five minutes into overtime to give host Bodine a 4-3 edge over Tacony Charter. Aaron Summerville scored twice and assisted on the winning goal. Anthony Tarpeh also scored.

With 30 seconds remaining in regulation, Nagee Morrison scored to give Kensington a 3-2 triumph at Frankford.

Nate Robinson scored with 20 minutes remaining to send host Boys' Latin past Franklin Learning Center, 1-0.

Adams Georges and Ronald Magana each scored twice in host Engineering & Science's 6-1 win over High School of the Future.

Friends Schools. Gabe Moon scored and had an assist to help George School defeat host Abington Friends, 3-1. Tyler Long and Yuval Thuroff also scored.

Golf

St. Joseph's Prep (AAA) and Lansdale Catholic (AA) came away winners at the District 12 golf championships at Phil-Mont Country Club.

In Class AAA, Rich Vanni (La Salle) and Alex Butler (St. Joseph's Prep) were co-champions with a 4-over-par 74. In Class AA, Lansdale Catholic's Nick Kuhn came in first with a 78.

District 1 Championship. Radnor (AAA) and New Hope-Solebury (AA) won team titles as the two-day event wrapped up at Turtle Creek Golf Course.

Methacton's Kyle Vance won Class AAA with a 10-under-par 134. New Hope-Solebury's Clay Asplundh shot 149 to win Class AA.
