The 6-foot, 175-pound senior, who has been intercepted only once, has rushed 16 times for 98 yards and a score. He also sees time at defensive back.
Mattioni went 6 for 6 for 266 yards and four TDs in a 41-3, season-opening win over Haverford High. Two weeks later, he was 9 for 12 for 184 yards and three scores in a 42-14 victory against Mifflin County.
Mattioni started at wide receiver and defensive back the last two seasons. He earned second-team all-Ches-Mont League National Division honors on offense last year.
