Coatesville, Downingtown East, and Downingtown West are set to wage a three-way battle for the Ches-Mont League National Division title.

Coatesville was hit hardest by graduation, but the defending champs have strong playmakers in quarterback Jordan Young, running back Brasir Stocker, multipurpose threat Jadan Hudson, and receivers Kevin Kirk and Avery Young.

Coatesville (13-1 overall, 6-0 league) also features offensive tackle Justus Martinez (6-5, 300), linebackers Chris Jordan and Ronnell Knight, and defensive linemen Jelil Norman, Isaiah Hall, and Javon Sampson.

Downingtown East returns seven starters on offense, including 6-foot-7, 225-pound tight end Cary Angeline and 6-8, 280-pound tackle Mike Clark, and six on defense.

East (9-4, 4-2) also has QB Saunders Healy, fleet cornerback Jeremy Jennings, center Jay Ingram, two-way tackle Chris Harootunian, and linebacker Brody Wilson.

Downingtown West also has an experienced group, with two-way lineman Brandon Peterson, fullback and linebacker Braden Harper, QB Tom Mattioni, and speedy running backs Jake Barr and Mike Riddick back in the fold.

West (6-5, 3-3) is aided on offense by linemen Jackson Hale, John West, and Matt Geary. Middle guard Billy Hammond, linebacker Colby Burke, and cornerback Wayne Anderson are in the defensive mix.

West Chester Henderson (8-4, 4-2) is rebuilding behind third-year QB Matt Dinacci, offensive lineman and linebacker Sam Vogel, two-way end Jason DePhillips, and running back C.J. Preston.

Imposing two-way lineman and Division I prospect Doug Costin (6-3, 255) makes Bishop Shanahan (8-4, 3-3) a threat. The Eagles also return center Jake Colby, defensive tackle Jack Schell, and receiver and defensive back Mike Sprague.

West Chester East (5-6, 1-5) is fueled by athletic QB Jon Jon Roberts, two-way linemen Travis Peterson, and linebacker Matt Erfle.

Avon Grove (0-10, 0-5) has FCS prospects in QB Shane McLaughlin, linebacker Ryan Hoffman, and running back Nate Jones.

West Chester Rustin (10-2, 6-0) is the defending American Division camp. The Golden Knights' wing-T attack is ignited by QB Evan Wlock, fullback Steve Franks, halfback Ty Pringle, and lineman Pat Durant.

Buoyed by an experienced defense, Unionville (6-4, 4-2) is favored to unseat Rustin. The leaders of a 3-4 unit are cornerback Elan Nash, free safety Drew Stradling, and linebackers Dylan Rappucci, Trevor Gardiner, and Laz Kirifides.

Great Valley (12-2, 5-1) has solid playmakers in running back Mark DeRobertis, handyman Nick Cionci, and receivers Ryan Hubley and Andrew Wineinger.

Dan Green threw for 2,559 yards and 26 TDs for Oxford (2-8, 1-5) last season. His targets include Connor Hilaman, Michael Williams, and Greg Roberts.
