Pa. boys: Gallagher sets Shipley single-season points record

Tate Gallagher has cemented himself in Shipley's record book. The junior broke Shipley's single-season points record Saturday in the Gators' 15-4 win over Perkiomen School in a nonleague lacrosse game.

The junior broke Shipley's single-season points record Saturday in the Gators' 15-4 win over Perkiomen School in a nonleague lacrosse game.

Gallagher had four goals and two assists, increasing his point total to 105 (60 goals, 45 assists). The previous record was 104, set by Mike Litner in 2012.

Pete Moeller had a hat trick. Frank Campanale and Chad Allison each scored twice.

Colton Gallo (six) and Ian Walsh (one) combined for seven saves in the win.

In other nonleague action:

Malvern Prep had 11 players score in its 13-4 win over West Chester East at home. Luke Hoffman led the Friars with two goals. Jordan Donaghy had a goal and four assists.

Connor Ringwalt, Curtis Zappala, Eric Haab, and Chris Friedman each had two goals in Episcopal Academy's 8-7 win at La Salle. Zappala and Jack Martellucci each had two assists. Christian Feliziani was 13 for 19 on faceoffs. Colin Reder made eight saves.

Nick Fox and Bill Rous each scored two goals to lead Ridley over host Wissahickon, 7-5. Cade Heverly was 15 for 19 on faceoffs. Dawson Faust made seven saves.

Baseball

Pat Lawrence hit a two-run double in the 14th inning to ice Pennsbury's 4-1 win at Holy Ghost Prep. Tom Augustin knocked in the go-ahead run in the inning.

Andrew Burger slugged a home run and had two RBIs as Haverford School edged Conestoga, 4-3, in a nonleague game at home.

In other nonleague action:

Westtown's Wade Sansone hit a ball through the legs of the second baseman to score Jon Moldoff for an 11-10 win over Eastern Christian Academy in nine innings. Colin Perkins-Taylor was 2 for 5 with three RBIs and three runs.

Ryan O'Neill went 4 for 4 with four RBIs to lead Father Judge in a 14-0 win over Lincoln at home.

Levi Stoudt earned the win, pitching six innings and striking out five as Perkiomen School defeated Episcopal Academy, 9-1, at home. Angel Lopez was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a pair of runs. Javier Quinones smacked a two-run single in the second inning to start the scoring.

Cardinal O'Hara's Kevin James followed up his 3,200-meter victory on Friday with a first-place finish in the 1,600 meters at the Delco Championships, winning in 4 minutes, 21.66 seconds at Interboro.
