Pa. girls: Streeper's hit lifts Perk Valley

Haley Streeper singled home Shannon Beattie with two outs in the top of the seventh Wednesday to send Perkiomen Valley to a 3-2 win over Pottsgrove in a Pioneer Athletic Conference softball game.

Beattie doubled home Noelle McCullough earlier in the inning to tie it.

Elsewhere in the Pioneer, Sophia Cinti went 4 for 4 with six RBIs and two runs to power Spring-Ford past Phoenixville, 16-6, at home. Becca Faust had three hits and four runs. Kelly Knapp went had three hits, three RBIs and two runs for Phoenixville.

Central. Taylor Winkelman went 3 for 3 with two home runs, three runs and four RBIs as Springfield (Delco) dispatched visiting Lower Merion, 15-0. Tori DePietro went 2 for 2 with two runs and three RBIs and also threw a three-inning no-hitter.

Ches-Mont American. Caela Abadie went 2 for 2 with an RBI and Lexi Wright went 1 for 2 with an RBI to lead West Chester Rustin to an 8-1 win at Sun Valley.

Public Platinum. Danielle Romano went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and five runs and host GAMP rolled over Kensington, 24-11.

Suburban One National. The game between Council Rock South and Bensalem was suspended with the score tied at three in the top of the third.

Lacrosse

Ohio State recruit Avery Murphy paired five goals with two assists to lead Archbishop Carroll to a 17-3 Catholic League victory at Archbishop Wood.

Isabelle Schmitt added three goals and one assist for the Patriots. Sam Swart chipped in with three goals.

Bicentennial. Emma Dorshimer piled up seven goals and one assist to lead Jenkintown to 14-2 home win over Lower Moreland.

Central. Emily Mathewson and Kamryn McNeal scored four goals each as Garnet Valley turned away visiting Lower Merion, 13-5, Mathewson also had three assists and two draw controls.

Pioneer. Daria Lucchesi had four goals and one assist and Jackie Cerchio and Sarah Hughes had three goals and an assist each as Methacton beat Boyertown, 13-8, at home. Lauren Shenk added four goals. Maddy Siejk scored three for Boyertown.

Nonleague. Elizabeth Prezioso scored five goals and Allie Cannon added three but Germantown Academy fell at Peddie School, 14-12.
