Pa. Boys: Pa. boys: Chobany leads Rustin past Sun Valley

Andrew Chobany netted 23 points, including five in overtime, as West Chester Rustin defeated host Sun Valley, 55-53, in a Ches-Mont American basketball game Monday.

The Vanguards' Kyle Ryan scored a three-pointer to tie the game at the buzzer. He had 11 points.

Rustin's Ryan Loucks finished with 10 points and six rebounds.

Elsewhere in the Ches-Mont American:

Traojae Break scored 31 points, including 17 in the second half, in Octorara's 83-54 rout of visiting Unionville. The senior sank 11 of 12 shots from the foul line.

Will Buzan scored 10 points and added four rebounds and two blocks in Great Valley's 47-20 win over visiting Kennett.

Ches-Mont National. Cary Angeline scored 14 points to aid Downingtown East in a 45-26 win at West Chester East. Marquan Gallimore added 12 points.

Public A. Sammy Foreman dropped in 10 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to help Martin Luther King seal a 71-65 victory at Math, Civics and Sciences. Jabri McCall had 23 points. Samir Doughty deposited a game-high 24 points to go along with his 13 rebounds for Math, Civics & Sciences.

Devonta Peterie's 22 points powered Phila. Electrical in a 51-43 win over Del-Val Charter at Philadelphia University. Jihad Barnes finished with 17 points and five steals. Mike Cooper had five points and nine rebounds.

Public B. Central's Kahlil Williams scored 31 points and had eight rebounds in a 62-47 win over visiting Northeast.

Boys' Latin rallied in the second half to knock off host Bartram, 69-62. Jahmir Green scored 17 points. Elijah Pittman had eight rebounds. Cameron Arrington tallied 25 points, including 20 in the first half for Bartram.

Quadire Truesdale had four three-pointers in Frankford's 61-44 win over Dobbins at home. The senior finished with 22 points. Maqel Styles and Tyzjay Faison each dropped in 15 points for Dobbins.

Tahir Wharton came up big in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 of his 27 points to carry host Simon Gratz over Sankofa Freedom, 66-45.

Charles Brown scored 25 points, and Washington knocked off host Southern, 58-47. Kahsiaan Kay scored 13 points for the Rams.

Public C. With 12 seconds left in overtime, Isaiah Wilmore connected on a two-pointer and sank a foul shot to give Ben Franklin the 50-49 edge over visiting West Philadelphia. At the end of regulation, the Speedboys' Lavelle Harper netted a three-pointer at the buzzer to tie it.

Devon Adams scored 22 points to go along with four assists, as Fels bested Prep Charter, 60-59. Wayna Johnson had seven rebounds.

Dominick Morales led the offense at Overbrook, scoring 27 points to lead High School of the Future in a 63-33 win.

Public D. Keyonne Parker netted 17 points, including four three-pointers, to help Roxborough seal a 56-50 win at Palumbo. Terrell Williams scored all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter.

Public E. Deverris Stukey and Matt Ventus each scored 12 points to aid host GAMP in a 42-39 victory over CAPA. Ventus sank a pair of three-pointers in the fourth quarter.
