Sat. Pa. football: Prep Charter clips Del-Val

If you were handicapping Saturday's meeting of Public League unbeatens Prep Charter and Del-Val Charter, the one thing you probably could have counted on was that the scoreboard at the South Philadelphia Super Site was going to see all the action it could handle.

But that's why they play the games.

The meeting of offensive juggernauts turned into a defensive tussle, and Prep Charter did enough to come away with a 13-6 victory.

Vian Dolo ran for a touchdown and threw a 56-yard scoring pass to Quadir Strothers as the Huskies (8-0 overall, 4-0 Public League AAA) built a 13-0 lead.

Shaheed Brown had a 43-yard punt return TD for Del-Val Charter (7-1, 3-1).

Prep Charter had scored 39 points or better in its last six games; Del-Val Charter had scored more than 50 points four times and had not scored fewer than 36.

Public AAA. Isiah Tann's three short touchdown runs propelled Mastery North to a 36-16 triumph over Boys' Latin at the Northwest Super Site.

Tann carried the ball 22 times for 129 yards. Donovan Crabbe threw two TD passes to Taqee Ross.

Inter-Ac. Alex Hornibrook went 17 for 21 for 235 yards and four touchdowns, and Malvern Prep thumped visiting Germantown Academy, 49-13.

Zac Fernandez carried the ball 14 times for 150 yards and a touchdown, and Anthony Pacitti had 14 rushes for 112 yards and a score.

Pacitti also had a touchdown reception.

Catholic AA. West Catholic held Conwell-Egan to 35 total yards in a 41-0 decision at the South Philadelphia Super Site. Craig Jones had an interception, Neil Satterwhite had two sacks and a forced fumble, and Marque McDuffy recovered a fumble and recorded a sack.

Khalil Roane rushed 24 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns, and Neumann-Goretti rolled past Bishop McDevitt, 28-0, at Cheltenham. Ray Lenhart passed for 162 yards and a touchdown. Roane, Aamir Brown, and Takeem Ford had interceptions. Brown also ran for a score.

Del-Val. Sean Menold threw two touchdowns and rushed for another to lead Interboro to a 39-13 win at Chichester.

Menold completed 6 of 8 passes for 112 yards. Mark Everton had five catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns.

Suburban One Continental. Vince Icabone ran for a touchdown and returned an interception for a score in William Tennent's 42-13 victory at Norristown.

Dan Costello ran for two touchdowns.
