Sat. Pa. football: Backfield boosts Interboro

The pair rumbled and dashed for a combined 256 yards to lead the Bucs to a 41-20 win at Penn Wood in a Del-Val League football game.

Shaw, listed at 5-foot-10 and 255 pounds, did most of the rumbling. Bey, an inch taller and listed at 90 pounds lighter, took care of the dashing.

Shaw carried 19 times for 140 yards and two short-yardage touchdowns. Bey had 16 rushes for 116 yards. He broke a 47-yard touchdown run in the first quarter as the Bucs jumped out to a 13-0 lead.

Chris Thomas returned an interception 44 yards for a score, and he also ran for a touchdown.

Penn Wood's Edward Fields III threw two touchdown passes.

Public League Class AAA. Andre Dreuitt-Parks threw three touchdown passes, and Imhotep Charter, The Inquirer's fourth-ranked team in Southeastern Pennsylvania, rolled past Overbrook, 62-14, at Simon Gratz.

Naseir Upshur had two touchdown receptions. Mike Crawford returned an interception 71 yards for a score to close the second quarter. Tyliek Raynor rushed for two touchdowns.

Public League Class AA. Basil Wilson rushed for two touchdowns, and Prep Charter routed Strawberry Mansion, 48-12, at Dobbins.

Pioneer Athletic Conference. Louis Cotteta rushed for three touchdowns, and Methacton thumped visiting Pope John Paul II, 49-12. Conner Derrickson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. Akeem Walcott had touchdowns rushing and receiving.

Lawrence Garnett's fourth-quarter touchdown run salted away Boyertown's 21-12 victory at Pottstown. Garnett rushed for two scores and threw a touchdown pass. For Pottstown, Gary Wise completed a 72-yard TD pass to Bryant Wise and ran for a score.

Catholic League AA. Ahkil Crumpton had two first-half touchdowns as West Catholic cruised to a 30-13 win over Neumann-Goretti at the South Philly Super Site. Kharee Ruley's touchdown run made it 24-0 at halftime.

Nonleague. Sparked by Nasir Bonner, Del-Val Charter dug out of a two-touchdown hole in the first half to beat Conwell-Egan, 36-12, at the Northwest Super Site.

Bonner rushed for three touchdowns, including a 65-yarder, as the Warriors reeled off 36 consecutive points. Shaheed Brown punctuated the win with a 79-yard punt return for a score. Joe Ruggiero rushed for both scores for Conwell-Egan.
