Sat. Pa. football: Thaenrat powers Father Judge

A few hours after Father Judge's 41-32 nonleague win over St. Anthony's (N.Y.) at the Northwest Super Site on Saturday, Yeedee Thaenrat headed up the turnpike to see Rutgers play Penn State.

The junior running back already has a scholarship offer from the Scarlet Knights, and if days like Saturday are any indication, he's likely to add many more offers.

Thaenrat rushed for three touchdowns and more than 170 yards on 21 carries, including an 88-yard strike on the first play of the second half.

Father Judge, ranked 17th in Southeastern Pennsylvania by The Inquirer, also took advantage of another big play: Zach Carroll hit Prince Smith for an 80-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.

In other nonleague games:

No. 2 St. Joseph's Prep held a first-quarter lead at St. Ignatius of Ohio, but ended up falling, 42-34. Jack Clements threw three touchdown passes for the Prep, including two to John Reid. Olamide Zaccheaus ran for two touchdowns.

Sean McMorran ran for one touchdown and threw for another to lead Archbishop Carroll to a 28-3 win at Bishop McDevitt. Harry Rohlfing caught a touchdown pass, and Brandon Pearson ran for a score.

Emil Moody's 37-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter put away Neumann-Goretti's 20-6 defeat of Chester at Southern. Khalil Roane rushed for a touchdown, and Mike DiFrancesco returned an interception for a score.

Lansdale Catholic scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 28-13 win over Hatboro-Horsham at Wissahickon. Ryan Quigley ran for a score and had a touchdown reception. Joe Pinzka threw a touchdown pass and ran for one score. Casey Walsh ran for a score and threw for one for Hatboro-Horsham.

Jake Barr rushed for three touchdowns and caught another, and No. 6 Downingtown West cruised past visiting Mifflin County, 42-7. Tyler McNulty had a pair of touchdown passes.

Jenkintown's defense forced turnovers on the last two possessions, and the Drakes hung to win at George School, 14-9. Andres Madden had an interception. Jamie Griffin threw a touchdown pass to Greg Farina, and Steven Charlemagne had a scoring run.

Nasir Bonner touchdown runs book-ended Del-Val Charter's 56-0 triumph over Edison at the Northwest Super Site. Shaeed Brown caught a touchdown and ran for one, and Shayne Smith threw two touchdowns.

KIPP Dubois used two fourth-quarter scores to win, 14-0, at KIPP (D.C.) Khyree Ruffin scored on a 65-yard reception from Domair Harris, and Nazir Felder rushed for a touchdown.

Unionville scored 29 second-half points to blitz host Avon Grove, 36-0. Alex Pechin's 29-yard touchdown pass to Elan Nash on third and 24 gave Unionville a 28-0 lead in the fourth quarter.

Public League AAAA Independence. Kevin Caldwell accounted for five touchdowns (four passes, one running) to lead Ben Franklin past Northeast, 39-20, at Simon Gratz.

Rasheem James and Rafael Rodriguez each caught two touchdowns. Travon Williams had all three touchdowns for Northeast.
