Downingtown's Steffen in U-23 camp

DOWNINGTOWN native Zack Steffen was one of 18 players named a participant in the United States' U-23 camp from Sunday through Thursday in the Bahamas. Steffen, a 19-year-old rising sophomore at the University of Maryland, is one of just two goalkeepers on the roster.

The Downingtown West High School product has been playing in the national team system since the U-14 level. The Union owns the homegrown rights to Steffen, should he at some point decide to turn pro and stay stateside.
