Warden heads all-Southeastern Pa. team

The senior did it all for the Jaguars and ended her career in impressive fashion with her third PIAA state title in four years. Warden, who will play next season for James Madison, scored a total of 18 goals in Garnet Valley's four state-playoff games. She shined brightest in the championship game, scoring twice in the second half to regain momentum for her team just when it looked to be slipping away. "It's difficult to express," Jaguars coach Jenny Purvis said. "She's not only one of the best athletes I've ever coached, but has one of the best personalities and best drives. She wants to improve herself and other people."

HARRITON

An all-American who's headed to Syracuse, Avery was the final link in one of the area's best defenses. She and the Rams held opposing teams to five or fewer goals nine times. As a junior, she helped Harriton clinch its first state title. She missed the playoffs this season because of an injury.

GARNET VALLEY

The defensive leader for the newly crowned state champions, Savage was dominant against opposing attacks. She helped Garnet Valley hold Springfield (Delco) scoreless for a stretch of 17 minutes in the first half of the PIAA championship game. The Jaguars defense held strong again in the second half. Savage, who will play next year at Drexel, led that effort.

SPRINGFIELD (DELCO)

The defensive leader carried the Cougars to the District 1 title, helping Springfield allow opposing offenses to score 10 or more goals just four times in 27 games. Before falling to Garnet Valley in the PIAA final, the Cougars had won 16 straight games thanks to Verica and their strong defense. She will play next season for Johns Hopkins.

After the Rams lost several key seniors from last year's team, Lemonick stepped up to be a leader this season for the defending state champions. The senior fortified the Rams defense and helped them reach the state quarterfinals. She is one of the area's two Under Armour all-Americans and will play next season for Cornell. Lemonick put together a stellar high school career despite battling juvenile diabetes.

O'Donnell

WEST CHESTER HENDERSON

A senior, O'Donnell set the state record for career goals in May by scoring her 407th. She carried Henderson's offense the rest of the season, as the Warriors reached the District 1 quarterfinals. O'Donnell scored 13 goals in the tournament's first three games. She is a member of the Ches-Mont League's first team and a U.S. Lacrosse all-American. O'Donnell will play next season for Penn State.

SPRINGFIELD (DELCO)

The Cougars advanced all the way to the PIAA final thanks in large part to Paulus. The U.S. Lacrosse all-American scored a goal in each of Springfield's final five games, including its District 1-title win against Garnet Valley. It was the program's first district championship since 2009.

The senior was one of the Inter-Ac League's top scorers and a first-team member of the all-league squad. She is also a U.S. Lacrosse all-American. Chakey scored 11 goals during the state tournament for Agnes Irwin, which finished second. She will play next season for Syracuse.

FRIENDS' CENTRAL

The senior cocaptain became the school's career points leader in April and is the first athlete in school history to be a two-time first-team all-American. She totaled 105 goals and 49 assists this season. Dahle was voted to the Friends Schools League first team all four years. She will play next season for Brown, joining her older sister Becca.

RADNOR

The senior triggered the offense for the Raiders, who advanced to the District 1 quarterfinals. She scored 12 total goals in Radnor's three playoff games, including six in a second-round win over Boyertown. The all-Central League first-teamer and U.S. Lacrosse all-American has committed to Dartmouth.

SPRINGFIELD (DELCO)

The Cougars offense seemed to move at the pace of Santana, who scored 15 goals in the PIAA playoffs. She is one of just five area juniors named to the Philadelphia region's U.S. Lacrosse all-American team. She has committed to Rutgers. Santana and Archbishop Carroll's Avery Murphy were finalists for the Heather Leigh Albert Award, given to the top player in the schoolgirls division at the U.S. Lacrosse women's national tournament.

GREAT VALLEY

The senior was one of the area's best at winning draws and often marched toward the goal for a score after leaving the circle. She won more than 120 draws this season, scored 147 times, and recorded 12 assists. In the last three years, she totaled 303 goals. She is a U.S. Lacrosse all-American and will play next season for La Salle.
