Brooke Harner's fielders must have been getting bored by the end of Thursday afternoon's game, but second baseman Bailey Reigel was ready when needed.

Harner retired the first 20 batters she faced, and 18 by strikeout, when her last pitch was lined to Reigel, sealing the perfect game as host Kennett downed Sun Valley, 6-0, in a Ches-Mont American softball game.

It marked the first perfect game of the West Chester University recruit's career.

Of the three balls put in play by Sun Valley, Brooke Duplicki was responsible for two of them. Aside from her line-out to second to end the game, she also hit a one-hopper to right field but was thrown out at first.

Harner threw a no-hitter earlier this season. Kylee Harvey went 2 for 3 and drove in three runs.

In other league action, Anna Steinmetz finished with two RBIs to power West Chester Rustin over visiting Great Valley, 9-1.

Catholic Academies. Nazareth's Taylor Lichtenhahn earned her 30th career win as the host Pandas blanked Merion Mercy, 10-0. Lichtenhahn scattered four hits over five innings and struck out 10.

Casey McGrath went 3 for 3 and drove in three runs to send St. Basil past visiting Sacred Heart, 14-3. Nicole Eberhard fanned the first eight batters she faced and finished with nine strikeouts.

Gwynedd Mercy turned back visiting Mount St. Joseph, 5-3, behind Tara Sheahan's three RBIs.

Central. Marple Newtown's Nicole Kelly struck out nine as the host Tigers doubled up Garnet Valley, 4-2.

Courtney Scarpato tossed a three-hitter, and Springfield (Delco) edged visiting Upper Darby, 2-1.

Isabel Schaefer's seven strikeouts in six innings helped host Radnor past Ridley, 2-0.

Suburban One American. Grace DeRosa struck out seven and Jamie Austin knocked in the eventual winning run as Cheltenham topped visiting Wissahickon, 4-2.

Suburban One Continental. Jackie Bilotti went 2 for 4 with four RBIs, including a three-run triple, to move North Penn past host Quakertown, 8-2.

Public Gold. Yamaira Rivera belted two three-run homers and finished with nine RBIs as Kensington won, 16-5, at CAPA.

Lacrosse

Great Valley continued its trend of scoring in double figures, cruising to a 17-4 win over visiting Avon Grove in a nonleague game.

Linnea Hughes netted four goals and added two assists, and Brittany Edwards matched her goal total with four.

Great Valley has yet to be held to single digits in scoring this season.

In other nonleague action, Maddie Aslansan scored five goals to pace Springside Chestnut Hill in an 18-5 triumph at Shipley.

Suburban One American. Upper Dublin's Julie Cross finished with six goals and Taylor D'Ginto added four as the host Cardinals defeated Springfield (Montco), 12-7.
