Roman Catholic's Rashann London sprang up as he posed for a photo with Chris Evans, Shep Garner, and Floyd Preito. He handed his iPhone to the photographer.

"One more," London said, making sure he got a photo for himself after playing with and against friends Sunday in the All-Star Labor Classic.

The City All-Stars beat the Suburban team, 150-130, in the boys' game and the Suburban girls beat the City All-Stars, 67-51, at Northeast High. But the games gave the participating seniors an opportunity to do more than just showcase their skills.

"It's good to get to go at certain guys because we don't get to play each other in our leagues," said London, who finished with 19 points.

"It's refreshing. It's a lot different just to come out here and have fun with a lot of my friends."

One of London's best friends is Constitution's Preito. The two played in the Positive Image league in West Oak Lane when they were 11 and remained friends. They plan to play on the same AAU team this summer.

"He's always at my house and I'm always at his house," London said. "We always work out together. . . . It's good to get back on the court with him."

"We've always been close off the court," said Preito, who scored 18 points.

Two of the area's best girls players share a similar relationship.

Mount St. Joseph's Alex Louin drove to the basket and bounced a pass through her legs to Shipley's Sox Alexander, who trailed her. Alexander couldn't finish the layup, but the two went on to help the Suburban girls jump out to a 17-0 lead and the win.

Alexander and Louin have played AAU basketball together for the Philadelphia Belles since they were in seventh grade.

"That was my favorite part of the game," said Louin, a Villanova recruit who scored 12 points. "It's always nice playing with her because we're used to each other's games."

"It's a test for next year," said Alexander, a St. John's recruit who scored eight points.

"I'm excited to get up there and do my thing."

Bishop McDevitt's Tyrell Long led the City team with 24 points. Mikal Bridges (Great Valley), Jordan Greene (Abington Friends), Mahir Johnson (Chester), and Amadou Kaba (Penn Wood) each scored 15 points to lead the Suburban team in the boys' game.

Stephanie Brown led the city team with 12 points in the girls' game.
