On Friday afternoon, Schneider settled for showing a team from suburban Washington what she could do, piling up six goals and two assists in Notre Dame's 12-9 nonleague victory over visiting Holton-Arms, from Bethesda, Md.

Kat Land made 13 saves for the Irish, and Caroline Allen and Madison Chermol added two goals each.

"We were thrilled to play a good team visiting from Maryland today," Notre Dame coach Erin Cleary Cook said.

"We've been inside so much of this preseason we just wanted to relax, control the tempo from the start, and have fun. Kat Land was amazing for us in goal."

NONLEAGUE

Boyertown 15, Upper Dublin 10: Lehigh-bound Haley Wentzel scored six times to power the host Bears. Julie Cross scored four goals and Taylor D'Ginto added three for Upper Dublin.

Penncrest 11, Sun Valley 7: Gabby Isenberg scored three goals to lead the Lions on the road. Sun Valley's Carson Adelberger had five draw controls, three ground balls, and one assist.

Strath Haven 13, W.C. Henderson 10: UConn recruit Kristen Hansen had three goals and three assists and Kathryn Restrepo had four goals and one assist to propel the host Panthers.

Katie O'Donnell netted six goals for Henderson.

Central Bucks West 21, Mount St. Joseph 6: Elena Romesburg scored seven goals and Jacq Fitzgerald had five goals and an assist as the Bucks rolled at home.

PIONEER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

Spring-Ford 12, Owen J. Roberts 11: Kat Connelly paired three goals with two assists as the Rams clipped the Wildcats on the road. Casey Trimbur had two goals and two assists, and Brianna Cirino chipped in two goals and one assist.

Devin Hassinger scored five goals and Maddie Gebert had two goals and two assists for Owen J. Roberts.

PUBLIC LEAGUE

Del-Val Charter 11, Southern 2: Tyshenia Davis and Mattie Pieces each scored five goals for the visiting Warriors.

Girls High 15, West Philadelphia 1: Laporsha Nixon had three goals and three assists to guide the Gazelles on the road.

Northeast 13, Simon Gratz 4: Anye Hester made 13 saves and Amy Kao scored three goals to lead the host Vikings.

SOFTBALL

CATHOLIC LEAGUE

St. Hubert 16, Hallahan 0: Danielle Franks went 3 for 3 with three RBIs to lead the visiting Bambies.

NONLEAGUE

Avon Grove 4, Sun Valley 2: Maggie Balint struck out 10 in 32/3 innings of relief and earned the win for host Avon Grove.

Calvary Christian 11, Abington Friends 1: Kelsey Caldwell struck out eight in six innings of one-run ball for the visiting Cougars. Emily Collier went 1 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored for Calvary.
