Holy Ghost Prep will be tested with only one returning starter, 6-foot-3 senior forward Matt England, from last season's team that finished second in the Bicentennial League's Independence Division.

Coach Tony Chapman, entering his 36th year at the helm, said he will rely heavily on England.

"Offensively, he is our go-to guy," Chapman said. "He is a lot stronger than last year."

England was named second-team all-league last season.

In contrast to the Firebirds, Jenkintown will return four starters from a team that finished fifth in the Bicentennial Constitution. Leading those four will be sophomore forward Colin Mulvaney, a second-team all-league selection last season.

The Drakes' strength lies in their depth. Look for them to rotate in 10 or 11 players regularly.

Phil-Mont Christian will contend in the Constitution with a strong core returning. Look for 6-6 senior guard Zach Dolton, a first-team all-league pick last season, to lead the Falcons.

Fellow seniors Micah Baldez and Seth Brandenburg also figure to factor prominently. Both players were named all-league honorable mention last season.

After the retirement of coach Bill Frio, Devon Prep has turned over its program to Kevin Fisher. Fisher comes to the Tide from Holy Ghost Prep, where he was the JV coach.

Devon, after Class AA district titles in 2011 and '12, failed to qualify for the playoffs last season. Fisher's team will be led by senior Mike McKenna, a returning starter.

Despite the graduation of Austin Fischer, Delco Christian looks poised to defend its Bicentennial Constitution championship. The Knights return seniors Rob Burrell (11.2 ppg. in 2012-13) and Henry Miller (11.9 ppg.), both second-team all-league picks.

Junior Johnny Reese will see a huge increase in his use by third-year coach Don Davis. Davis won Coach of the Year for the division last season.

Phelps School, a member of the Tri-County League, figures to be stacked again this season with what coach Brian Shanahan calls "one of the more talented teams" he has had.

Senior Terry Larrier can play from any position on floor and will be the centerpiece of the Lions offense. The 6-8 Larrier has committed to Virginia Commonwealth.

Phelps once again brings in a strong group of transfers, highlighted by junior Quincy McKnight. McKnight comes to Phelps from St. Joseph in Trumbull, Conn., where he earned all-state honors last season.
