Tues. Pa. boys' roundup: Chester remains unbeaten

Darius Robinson scored all 13 of his points in the first quarter as the Clippers sprinted off to a 27-7 lead after the opening quarter.

Chester improved to 22-0 overall, 9-0 in league and the Clippers are riding a 46-game winning streak. They are ranked No. 4 in the nation by USA Today.

Also in the Del-Val, senior center Charles Dorsey poured in 15 of his team-high 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Academy Park topped Interboro, 52-44.

Suburban One. Mike Mintah grabbed 10 rebounds to key host Truman's 64-62 win over Neshaminy. Merdic Green and Daiquan Ashley helped seal the win by sinking a combined six free throws in the fourth quarter.

Junior point guard Kevin Raymond scored seven of his team-high 10 points in the third quarter as Central Bucks South knocked off Hatboro-Horsham, 44-41.

Jon Landis converted a three-point play with 5 seconds left to lift Quakertown over visiting Central Bucks East, 52-49. Corey Jorgensen led the Panthers with a game-high 23 points and three three-pointers.

Julian Hyden sank a layup at the buzzer and Bensalem escaped from Council Rock North with a 43-42 win. Davonta Newkirk led the Owls with a game-high 13 points.

Brandon Johnson grabbed 12 rebounds and Anthony McKie dropped in 18 points as Plymouth Whitemarsh topped visiting Upper Merion, 67-57.

Senior center Tanoh Kpassagnon scored a career-high 24 points and tacked on a pair of dunks to help host Wissahickon down Upper Dublin, 66-44. He also added 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Pioneer. Antonio Moore grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Pottstown over Pottsgrove, 51-37, at Spring-Ford in the Frontier division's second place tiebreaker.

With the win, the Trojans earn a spot in the league's Final Four tournament. Elijhah Jackson chipped in with 15 points, five steals, and three assists.

Inter-Ac. Malvern Prep clinched a share of the league title with a convincing 52-37 win over visiting Penn Charter. Senior wing Brendan Kilpatrick scored 14 of his game-high 22 points in the first quarter as the Friars lead 17-7 after the first. Senior forward Tom Pitt grabbed eight rebounds and senior guard Steve Perpiglia dished out seven assists.

Malik Garner scored seven of his 17 points in the fourth quarter and Chestnut Hill downed host Germantown Academy, 46-41.

Adam Strouss hit five foul shots in the fourth quarter to seal visiting Episcopal Academy's 63-59 win over the Haverford School. It's the Churchmen's first league win of the season. Strouss also grabbed seven rebounds and Colin Wright dished out five assists.

Central. Brian Sarcinello and Mike McGee knocked down four three-pointers each as Marple Newtown rallied over host Strath Haven, 58-55.

Shaun Church and Zach Apakian combined for 21 of Ridley's 23 points in the third quarter as the Green Raiders topped visiting Garnet Valley, 73-52.

Public. Sophomore Chace McCall's only bucket of the game was a game-winner with 5.6 seconds left to lift Masterman over visiting Overbrook, 63-62, in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs.

Also in Class AAAA, Issac Guy's slam with 5 seconds left forced overtime and host Olney rallied to top Simon Gratz, 48-40. Tim Jackson led the Trojans with six rebounds.

Kendale Truitt grabbed 11 rebounds and scored 14 points as host Washington turned back Lincoln, 49-42.

Chris Lewis poured in eight of his 18 points in the third quarter and Frankford rolled over visiting Kensington, 62-49.

Malakiah Hunter scored all 19 of of Southern's fourth quarter points en route to topping host Northeast, 54-41. Louis Myers added five threes.

In Class AAA, senior guard Desmond Sams knocked down six of his seven free throws in the fourth quarter to ice host Roxborough's 66-52 win over West Philadelphia.

Junior small forward Dequan Jackson scored nine points in the fourth quarter to lead Dobbins at Bok, 67-53.

In Class AA, Khalil Keel blocked a shot with 1 second left to seal Esperanza's first ever playoff win as the Toros knocked off visiting Mastery Charter North, 63-62. Shaquille Bowman dropped a team-high 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

Mike Sturdivant scored 16 of his game-high 26 points in the third quarter and Masterman rolled at Strawberry Mansion, 75-54.

Raheem Liggins grabbed 12 rebounds and recorded five blocks as Prep Charter downed visiting Hope Charter, 45-36. Mustapha Traore chipped in with a team-high 10 points, four steals and five assists.

Carlton Wright scored 17 of his game-high 26 points in the second half, dished out five assists, grabbed seven rebounds and picked up three steals as Freire Charter eased past visiting Sayre, 77-58.

Samir Doughty scored 10 of his 16 points in the third quarter to propel host Communications Tech over Philadelphia Academy Charter, 66-52.

In Class A, Fa'Teem Glenn scored eight of his 15 points in the fourth to help host World Communications hold off Parkway West, 56-50.

Bicentennial. Pat Herbert grabbed seven boards and Tom Heston dished out seven assists as host Holy Ghost Prep topped Christopher Dock, 54-27.

Central. Rahmi Halaby grabbed 11 rebounds to accompany his game-high 17 points and Penncrest topped visiting Radnor, 55-29. Dillon Rogers chipped in with five rebounds and five blocks.

Mike McKale knocked down eight three-pointers and scored a game-high 30 points as Springfield (Delco) rolled at Harriton, 59-49.

Matt Sherman had four threes for the hosts.

Tri-County. In his last home game, senior Peter Gould scored a career-high 24 points to lead Del-Val Friends past Woodlynde, 64-37.

Ches-Mont. Dan Ciurlino knocked down nine of his 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal host Avon Grove's 64-56 win over Bishop Shanahan. Octorara clinched a share of the American Conference title with an easy 73-36 win over visiting Sun Valley. Bruce Reeves scored eight of his 10 points in the fourth quarter to help the Braves pull away.

Nonleague. Savon Goodman scored 18 of his game-high 27 points in the first half to lead Constitution over visiting Sankofa Freedom, 76-53. Daiquan Walker chipped in with 14 of his 18 points in the first half. Luis Martinez had four three-pointers for Sankofa.

Milos Milovanic poured in a game-high 21 points to lead International Christian past host Tri-County Homeschool, 63-47.

Senior guard Dan Walker scored 10 of his game-high 15 points in the first quarter as Christian Academy easily turned away host Cumberland Christian, 51-39. Walker also knocked down a pair of three-pointers.
