Sat. Pa. girls' roundup: Neumann-Goretti wins in OT

Rafiu's foul shots with 20 seconds left in regulation sent the game into OT. The Georgetown commit combined with Tamyra Laws and Tanesha Sutton to grab 40 rebounds.

Also in the Catholic League, Sarah Curran's 10 rebounds led Archbishop Caroll at Conwell-Egan, 68-29.

Public. Senior Kahleah Copper tied a school-record with 40 points as Prep Charter breezed at Freire Charter, 72-59.

Del-Val. Janera Handy scored eight of her game-high 30 points in the third quarter as Chester downed host Academy Park, 50-44.

Catholic Academies. Lisa Mirarchi dished out seven assists and recorded six steals as Villa Maria cruised past visiting Merion Mercy, 51-30.

Nonleague. Methacton switched to a man-to-man defense in the second half as it rallied over visiting Souderton, 52-43. Junior Kelsey Watson led the way with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

Freshman Casey Warley knocked down a three-pointer with 3.5 seconds left as West Chester Rustin downed visiting Avon Grove, 58-41. Adaja Franklin added seven blocked shots.

Indoor Track and Field

Cheltenham used a thin margin to capture the 4x200 meter relay at the DVGTCA Meet at Lehigh University.

The Panthers finished in 1:50.89, just 25-tenths of a second ahead of Villa Joseph Marie. Kayla Coley, the leadoff runner, also captured the 60-meter hurdles.

Pennridge's Taylor Chapman and Marissa Sheva each captured a first place title. Chapman finished the 60-meters in 7.95 and Sheva won the 800 meters in 2:15.74.
