Tues. Pa. girls' roundup: Quinn paces Episcopal

Megan Quinn led an energized Episcopal Academy girls' basketball team as it rallied on Tuesday and knocked off visiting Inter-Ac rival Notre Dame, 53-42.

The junior post player poured in 24 of her career-high 33 points after halftime as the Churchmen erased a nine-point deficit. Quinn added 11 rebounds and knocked down all 15 of her foul shots.

Megan McGurk led Notre Dame with 21 points.

Also in the Inter-Ac, Kiernan McCloskey had 14 rebounds and finished with 13 points as Germantown Academy easily beat visiting Agnes Irwin, 64-42.

Catholic Academies. Erin Fenningham recorded five steals and seven rebounds to lift St. Basil past Sacred Heart, 40-36. Kalee Fuegul knocked down four free throws in the fourth to seal the win.

Nicole Dombrowski hauled in 14 rebounds and had four blocks as Nazareth Academy rolled at Merion Mercy, 63-52. Bridget Sobon added six assists and scored three treys en route to a game-high 23 points.

Alex Louin's eight rebounds and Bridget Higgins' eight points helped host Mount St. Joseph turn away Gwynedd-Mercy, 29-17.

Friends Schools. Maria Conyers-Jordan grabbed 13 rebounds and recorded six steals as Friends' Central topped visiting Moorestown Friends, 48-31. The junior shooting guard had a game-high 27 points.

Becca Hayden made eight of her nine free throws in the fourth quarter en route to 13 points as George School bested visiting Abington Friends, 39-32.

Tri-County. Nicole Pupillo scored 12 of her game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter as host Perkiomen School topped Del-Val Friends, 37-30.

Suburban One. Courtney Brown scored three threes as Council Rock South rolled at William Tennent, 65-29.

Deja Rawls dished out six assists and added three steals as Abington inched past visiting Council Rock North, 43-40. Aiyannah Peal led the Ghosts with 12 points.

Stephanie DiNolfi nailed all six of her free throws in the seconds half as Norristown topped Wissahickon, 42-34. Briana Hedgepeth's 12 points led the Eagles.

Sajanna Bethea scored six points in the first and fourth quarters as Pennsbury clawed out a win over visiting Neshaminy, 39-36.

Central. Junior guard Coley Ricci scored five if her game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter and Garnet Valley held on to down Springfield (Delco), 42-38.

Michelle Rhine poured in nine of her game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter and Ridley raced away at Harriton, 49-35.

Ali Grundy scored all 10 of her game-high point in the first three quarters as Conestoga cruised at Radnor, 41-30.

Jaclyn Gantz scored 12 points in the second quarter to help Haverford High pull away from Penncrest, 70-56.

Ches-Mont. Cami Redfern recorded six steals, Emily Winn grabbed six rebounds, and Sydney Hughes dished out four assists as Unionville topped Oxford, 40-34.

Bishop Shanahan held visiting West Chester Henderson to just one field goal in the fourth quarter en route to a 61-54 win. Kelly Hegarty led the Eagles with 17 points as she made nine of her 10 free throws.

Nikki Thompson and Michelle Kolonauski each scored 10 points in the first half enroute to 16 points, as host Downingtown East turned away Coatesville, 59-37.

Pioneer. Mariah Traywick's 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 18 points helped lift Spring-Ford over visiting Boyertown, 49-34. Sammy Stipa chipped in with five steals and four assists.

Del-Val. Kelsey Allen had eight rebounds to go along with her eight points as Interboro squeezed past visiting Chichester, 43-30. Olivia Encarnacion and Lauren Munro each made a pair of free throws with less than a minute left to seal the win.

Nonleague. Allie Morganstein had 13 points, her sister Demi had 12, and Lower Moreland rolled over visiting Calvary Christian, 41-29. Demi added eight rebounds and three steals.

Elo Aiyalogbe scored all 10 of her points in the first quarter as Life Center cruised at Red Lion Christian, 49-9.
