Major decisions in the middle weights by Chris Yankowich, William Crozier and John Grossi guided Germantown Academy to an impressive 41-16 win over host Council Rock North on Saturday in the Rock Yard Duals tournament.

The reigning Inter-Ac League champion Patriots lost just four bouts, while getting pins from Kristian Kergides at 120 pounds and Keith Corliss at 195.

In addition, Germantown Academy added five major decisions, including Yankowich's 9-1 verdict over Aldan Ely at 145, Crozier's 9-0 shutout of Chris Child at 152 and John Grossi's 12-2 win over Eddie Mauceri at 160.

Church Farm Tournament. Westtown placed five wrestlers in the top two of their weight classes and the Quakers captured the team title with 227.5 points.

Evan Rutenbar scored a 4-0 decision over Chris Arbogast of Church Farm to win at 138 pounds. Church Farm finished second in the team scoring with 208.5 points behind four top-two finishers.

Whitehall Zephyr Duals. Bobby Jenne scored a major decision and a pin as Souderton won twice at the tournament. The Indians topped Pennridge, 42-31, behind Jenne's 9-1 decision over Ethan Clemmer at 126 pounds.

Avon Grove Duals. Edgar Garcia won each of his five bouts at 106 pounds as host Avon Grove won three of its five matches. Garcia won three times by fall, once by forfeit and once on a major decision.

Warwick Duals. Springfield (Delco) won each of the 10 matches from 106 to 170 pounds and cruised past East Pennsboro, 54-18. Bradley McKay capped the streak with the quickest pin of the match as he took down Sam Putt in 23 seconds at 170 pounds.

Academy of the New Church Tournament. Dmitri Bourlako's 42-second pin over Austin Garttmeyer at 126 pounds was one of Lower Moreland's six first-period pins as it easily defeated Academy of the New Church, 67-12.

Catholic. Leading by four points with one bout to go, St. Joseph's Prep clinched a 40-30 win at Cardinal O'Hara when John Pires pinned Irvin Muldah in 1 minute, 59 seconds at 103 pounds. Mike Hughes improved to 15-2 at 126 with an 8-0 decision.

Pioneer Athletic. Boyertown got back-to-back pins from Reuben Maldonado (138) and Jake Salkovitz (145) during a 52-15 win at Pope John Paul II.

Nonleague. Council Rock South dominated the upper weights, winning four bouts from Stephen Kaschak's pin at 182 to Connor Brunetti's forfeit win at 285, but the host Golden Hawks lost, 39-31, to Northampton.

Jordan Wang scored two victories at 113 pounds as Chestnut Hill split its two matches at the Hill School. The Blue Devils fell to Peddie School, 36-24, and defeated Hill, 48-33.

Neil Muspafa won each of his five bouts at 138 pounds as host Northeast dropped three of its five matches.
