Tues. Pa. girls’ roundup: Another no-hitter for Radnor senior

Von Pusch, a Penn State recruit, pitched her second no-hitter in as many days as the Red Raiders coasted to an 8-1 win at Methacton on Tuesday.

On Monday, Von Pusch blanked Marple Newtown, 4-0.

Against the Warriors, only two errors separated Von Pusch from her second straight shutout.

In other nonleague games:

Kellianna Bradstreet allowed just three hits and struck out 11 in pitching North Penn to an 11-3 win at Council Rock South.

Fran Carrullo and Haleigh Stocks combined on a five-hitter for host Central Bucks South in a 12-2 win over Easton.

Ches-Mont. Kalyn Butt pitched a one-hitter and had one of Oxford's four extra-base hits on the day, a double, in a 16-2 Ches-Mont League win over visiting Great Valley. Jill Freese added a triple in the fourth.

Jill Freese hit a two-run triple for the Hornets in the fourth inning. Megan Frisco and Jordan Sheffield also contributed doubles.

The Hornets (1-1) did not pick up their first league win last year until April 7th.

Gwyn Botley pitched a complete-game five-hitter as Norristown won at William Tennent, 3-2.

Kelly Straube and Lauren Scarpato each had a pair of hits for Springfield (Delaware County) in its 9-7 win at Broomall rival Cardinal O'Hara.

Public. Gianna George was 3 for 3 with two doubles as Masterman pounded visiting Engineering and Science, 15-0.

Tanisha Chambers hit three home runs, including two grand slams, as Parkway West routed visiting Randolph, 32-1.

Philadelphia Academy Charter's Brittany Ranier doubled, tripled and homered in addition to pitching a six-hitter in a 13-3 win over visiting GAMP.

Danielle Newby's three hits powered host Communications Tech past Elverson, 17-7.

Stephanie Shipley pitched a one-hitter for Prep Charter in its 19-0 win at Bok.

Rachel Broomhead allowed just three hits and struck out 10 for Franklin Towne Charter in a 17-3 win at Saul.

Elaina Potts keyed the offense with a 4-for-4 day, including seven RBIs.

Bicentennial. Holly Seiz's walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh gave host Christopher Dock a 6-5 win over Springfield (Montgomery County).

Carley Neal had three hits for Delco Christian in its 16-6 win over visiting Phil-Mont Christian.

Lacrosse

Macie Hauck had six goals and Brenda McDermott added five as North Penn earned a 17-7 Suburban One Continental win at Central Bucks East.

The Maidens also got four goals and three assists from Rachel Shaw.

Nonleague. Sophomore Taryn Deck made her first varsity start a memorable one for host Radnor in a 14-3 win over West Chester Rustin, picking up four goals. Radnor goalie Annie Woehling had 11 saves.

Six Alex Duckenfield goals were the difference for Strath Haven as it doubled up visiting Bishop Shanahan, 12-6.

Ali Karwoski had five goals and Emily Scullin added four as Great Valley earned a 15-6 win at Boyertown.

The Patriots broke the game open with nine second-half goals.
