Holy Ghost Prep basketball coach Tony Chapman already had plenty of achievements to list on his resumé. Now he can add his 700th career victory.
Ryan Lantzy led a balanced Firebirds scoring attack with 18 points and Holy Ghost beat visiting MaST Charter, 60-46, in a Bicentennial League game Tuesday.
The Firebirds (13-7 overall, 9-1 league) broke an 11-11 tie in the second quarter and took a 30-17 lead into halftime.
"It's a great school and it's been a very enjoyable experience," Chapman said. "I've had dedicated players. I can't say enough about the players that have been here. Just great kids to coach. Never had any problems.
"I've had great support from the administration here at Holy Ghost Prep and the parents, but especially from my family."
Chapman's career record now stands at 700-245 with four District 1 titles and two appearances in the PIAA Class AAA State championship game.
