Andrews pours in 30 as Cheltenham defeats Central Bucks South

The forward scored 23 points in the first half, including 14 in the second quarter. Those 14 points helped the Panthers (7-3) outscore the Titans, 19-9, on the way to a 31-13 lead at the half.

Andrews was the only double-digit scorer among the seven players who scored for the Panthers. Nine players scored for the Titans, but only Kelsey Hermann (14 points) reached double figures.

In other nonleague games:

Host Mariana Bracetti opened up by scoring 15 of the game's first 17 points on the way to a 40-25 win over Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.

Keishla Gilmore's 13 points led the Bulldogs with 13 points, while Tatiana Conception added 11.

Only four players scored for the Panthers (3-7), who were led by Jessica Ginyard's 11 points. Teammate Jixa Rodriguez added 10 points.

Scoring balance was the key for Academy Park in a 49-40 win at Ridley. The Knights placed four starters in double figures, with Brianna Macauley and Jordan Matthews sharing team-high honors with 12 points apiece. Mercedes Vaughn added 11 points and Montana Street 10. The Green Raiders were led by Kelsey Yori's 12 points, but their next-highest contributor was Michelle Rhine with eight points.

Gabby Schumacher scored 20 points to power host Plymouth Whitemarsh past Springfield (Montgomery County), 55-39.

Host Christopher Dock opened the second half with a 20-5 run to put away a 55-25 win over visiting Faith Christian. During that span, the Pioneers (7-1) turned a 19-11 halftime lead into a 39-16 lead going into the fourth quarter. Olivia Bradford's 15 points led the Pioneers.

New York/Philadelphia Challenge. Archbishop Wood, the No. 1 team in The Inquirer's Top 10, jumped out to an early lead and coasted to a 51-31 win over Bishop Ford (N.Y.) at Archbishop Ryan. The Vikings led 12-3 and 25-13.

Steph Keyes helped the Vikings (7-1) off to that start by hitting three three-pointers nine first-quarter points. Keyes led the Vikings with 14 points.

Also at Ryan:

No. 10-ranked Nazareth Academy topped Archbishop Malloy (N.Y.), 53-38, behind Maggie Borski's 17 points.

Penn Charter's Aleesha Powell scored 23 points and Brianna Butler added 17 in a 62-54 win over St. John the Baptist (N.Y.).

Inter-Ac. Visiting Germantown Academy got 54 points from just three players in a 71-37 win over Agnes Irwin. Alexa Gallagher led the way for the Patriots with 21 points, while Dana Lotito added 17 and Kiernan McCloskey 16.

Seven players scored for the Patriots, while 10 scored for the Owls, who were led by Kelly Spagnola's seven points.

Mid-Atlantic Prep. Stephanie Schultz, Hill School's leading scorer, was out with an ankle injury, but the Blues (7-5) were more than up to the task of beating visiting Mercersburg Academy, 55-28.

The scoring slack was mostly taken up by Deanna Mayza, who scored 15 points, and Ellen Dvorak, who added 11.

Indoor Track and Field

West Catholic's 4x400-meter relay team held off a strong challenge from Cardinal O'Hara in winning that event at the weekly Delaware Valley Coaches Association meet at Haverford College.

The Burrs' team of Mia Hicks, Jada Steward, Lyxie Debro, and Michelle Davis covered the distance in 4 minutes, 9.05 seconds, just ahead of the Lions' 4:09.69.
