The teams traded first-half touchdowns and defenses dominated in the second half, setting up Furness' second straight overtime game.

Communications Tech (6-5) scored first in the extra period when Zaki Jamison notched his second touchdown of the game with a 5-yard run, but the conversion run failed, giving the Phoenix a 12-6 lead. Tech's Rolando Ransom finished with 29 carries for 97 yards.

Harris tossed his seventh touchdown pass of the season to Kevin Hayes, knotting the score at 12-12, and setting the stage for Harris' game-winning and season-ending conversion. Hayes also made 11 tackles and Sharif Smith gained 78 yards on 22 carries.

Furness wrapped up a 9-3 season that finished with three consecutive wins.

Simon Gratz 26, FitzSimons 20 - Nate Boyer's third touchdown catch of the game was a 46-yarder from Richard Williams on the game's final play, snapping a tie and making host Gratz (9-3) a winner against FitzSimons (2-8).
