The Titans, ranked No. 1 in the Inquirer's top 10, got a pair of goals from Casey Haegele in the second half to beat visiting Pennridge, 2-1, in a Suburban One Continental game.

Haegele, a senior midfielder, scored with 25 minutes, 38 seconds left to tie the game and won it with a goal just 23 seconds later.

On Monday, the Titans (5-0 overall, 1-0 league) needed overtime to beat Wissahickon, 2-1.

Suburban One American. Jackie Hibbs scored the first goal, assisted by Gretchen Guaglianone, as No. 3-ranked Wissahickon earned a 2-0 win at Plymouth Whitemarsh. Hibbs returned the favor with the assist on Guaglianone's insurance goal.

Suburban One National. Carly Everett's unassisted goal with 17 minutes, 17 seconds left in the game gave host Council Rock North a 1-0 win over William Tennent.

Brittany Calvert and Brittany Sheehan scored for Neshaminy in its 2-0 win over Abington.

Amanda Morton scored off a rebound with 5 minutes, 24 seconds left to give host Bensalem a 2-1 win over Pennsbury.

Haley Gellar also scored for the Owls, whose goalie, Stephanie Unger, had 12 saves.

Kelly Cross had three goals and two assists for host Upper Dublin in its 9-1 win over rival Cheltenham.

Emily Hitchings also had three goals for the Cardinals (3-1, 1-0), who also got a pair of goals from Marie Wheatley.

Public. Franklin Towne Charter needed a goal from Paige Stearn in the last minute to earn a 1-0 win over visiting Central.

Until then, Central goalie Judy Robbins kept the Lancers in the game, turning back 15 shots. Franklin Towne Charter goalie Ashley Gosner needed to make only a pair of saves for the shutout.

Erica Thompson's overtime goal gave Northeast a 2-1 win at Girls High.

Catholic Academies. Lizzy Sack's first-half goal helped host and No. 9 Merion Mercy past Gwynedd-Mercy, 1-0. Sarah Hospodar assisted.

Seventh-ranked Mount St. Joseph peppered St. Basil goalie Christine McIntyre with 30 shots in a 3-0 win in Flourtown. Emily Ehert, Laura Pacheco and Natalie Tacka scored. St. Basil did not have a shot on goal.

On the other end of the field, Magic goalie Kat Matchett wasn't nearly as busy she needed to make no saves for the shutout.

Meghan Murphy scored a pair of goals and added two assists for host and No. 2-ranked Villa Maria in its 6-1 win over Sacred Heart.

The Hurricanes (5-0, 3-0) also got five saves from goalie Maddie Joyce and two goals apiece from Lauren Delvalle and Caroline Troncelliti.

Bicentennial. Stacy MacArthur assisted on half of the goals as Delco Christian overwhelmed host Morrisville, 6-0.

Brittney Weidemann scored twice to lead the Knights, who got single goals from Lydia Ellsworth, Anna Evans, Vicki Kravetts and Kelly Wiener.

Nonleague. Katie Garfinkel's two goals and Courtney Wilson's three assists powered Germantown Friends to a 7-0 win at Penn Wood.

Nancy Selig's two goals were the difference for Shipley in its 4-2 win at St. Andrew's (Del.).

Some strong defensive play by Gabby Rowe kept the area in front of goalie Marykate O'Connell clear for Cardinal O'Hara in its 2-0 win at Agnes Irwin. O'Connell needed to make only three saves for the shutout. Grace Boston and Meghan Kearney scored.

Avery Safford scored twice and added an assist for host Shipley in a 6-0 win over Springside.

Gabby Canuso, Ali Rosen and Liz Wills each scored a pair of goals for host Penn Charter in its 9-0 win over Friends' Central.

Maura Campbell and Michelle Walsh each had a goal and an assist for host No. 10 Archbishop Carroll in its 5-0 win over Germantown Academy.

Rachel Broscious, Kerry Newby and Katie Kelly also scored. Rebecca Broscious had four saves in goal for Carroll.

Soccer

Emily Evans' second goal broke a tie and gave Delco Christian a 2-1 Bicentennial League win at Phil-Mont Christian. Evans scored the game-winner in the game's 60th minute.

MaST Charter won its opening game, beating visiting Girard College, 1-0, on Morgan Cohen's first-half goal.

Inter-Ac. Lauren Dimes scored all three of her goals in the first half to help host Penn Charter post a 6-0 win over Baldwin. Julianna Casasanto, Kate Higgins and Amma Ntoso also scored.

It was the first win of the year for the Quakers (1-2, 1-0).

Suburban One Continental. Marykate Bateman and Gina Mallinder scored first-half goals for host Hatboro-Horsham in a 2-1 win over Quakertown.

Catholic Academies. Calli Guilday had a goal and an assist for Merion Mercy in its 4-2 win at Nazareth Academy.

Kasey Schiavoni had two goals and two assists for host Villa Maria in a 5-0 win over St. Basil.

Olivia Rosenberger scored with 19 minutes left in the second half, off a pass from Taylor Caparo, to give Gwynedd-Mercy a 1-0 win at Mount St. Joseph.

Courtney Sullivan had six saves in goal for the Monarchs (2-3, 2-0).

Nonleague. Kelsey O'Kane scored three goals and Molly O'Malley had two assists for host Cardinal O'Hara in its 7-0 win over Chichester.

Janie Smuckler and Lauren Paneyko each scored twice for host Princeton Day School (N.J.) in its 5-2 win over George School Stephanie Heys scored twice for the Cougars.

Kelsey Chapman and Jamie McGinn scored second-half goals to rally Springside past host Friends' Central, 2-0.

Gabby Garza's first-half goal gave host Abington Friends a 1-0 win over Solebury School.

Brenna Coll had five saves in goal for the Lions (2-1).
