The Archbishop Carroll girls' soccer team saw way too much of Notre Dame's Erica Gosnell in a nonleague game yesterday.
Gosnell scored the first four goals of the game and led the Irish past the visiting Patriots, 7-3.
Gosnell's efforts helped Notre Dame (10-1) take a 4-0 lead en route to a 5-0 advantage in the first half. She also assisted on a pair of goals. Karen Guarino chipped in with two goals and Kristen Bandos contributed a goal for the Irish, who got eight saves from Gianna Spigonardo.
Xavia Bethea and Priscilla Wiggins picked up goals to give George School a 2-0 win over host Phil-Mont Christian.
Victoria Batter scored twice as Ridley dropped visiting Delco Christian, 4-0.
Kerry Schubert scored in the second half and gave Villa Maria a 1-0 win over host Upper Perkiomen.
Catholic Red. Alyssa Verrillo scored in the 51st minute and helped Archbishop Wood beat host St. Hubert, 2-0.
Courtney Niemiec notched two goals and two assists and helped Little Flower beat host Archbishop Prendergast, 7-0.
Christina Zambino and Megan Tole picked up first-half goals and led Archbishop Ryan past visiting Conwell-Egan, 2-1.
Catholic Blue. Raina Piccolo scored twice to lift Hallahan past host West Catholic, 7-1.
Katie Fitzmartin collected a pair of goals to lead Cardinal Dougherty past visiting Bishop McDevitt, 3-0.
Lansdale Catholic managed to hold onto first place with a 2-0 win over second-place Neumann-Goretti.
Melissa Chapman and Megan Poiesz scored in the first half for the Crusaders.
Pioneer Athletic. K.B. Bedson scored midway through the second half and handed Owen J. Roberts a 1-0 win over host Methacton.
Spring-Ford used goals by Nikki Lynch and Holly Stevens to beat visiting Boyertown, 2-0.
Catholic Academies. Megan Rothwell and Priscilla Donnelly struck for first-half goals and handed Mount St. Joseph a 2-0 win over host Nazareth Academy.

Effrain Govea and Sam Knaub provided all the scoring Phoenixville would need in a 2-0 Pioneer Athletic Conference win over St. Pius X.
Frank Buffa accounted for two goals and an assist and boosted Owen J. Roberts past visiting Methacton, 4-1.
Ethan Compton picked up two goals and two assists and Jon Price chipped in with two goals and an assist as Pottsgrove tripped host Upper Perkiomen, 6-0.
Del-Val. Menuh Wiah notched a hat trick and paced Penn Wood in a 6-0 win over visiting Chichester.
Bicentennial. Nick Mascioli of Delco Christian and David Brelsford of host Christopher Dock each stopped six shots in a 0-0 tie.
Nonleague. Nick Borak chipped in with a goal and an assist and led Ridley past visiting Academy Park, 5-0.
Field Hockey
Maria Picard and Tricia Kincianic scored goals as West-Mont Christian eased past host Lehigh Valley Christian, 2-0, in a nonleague game.
Kimmy Keating struck for a goal and an assist and sparked Merion Mercy to a 3-0 win over visiting Ridley.
Ann Kelly scored 7 minutes into the second half and boosted Notre Dame past visiting Archbishop Carroll, 1-0.
Erika Zecher scored twice to lead Academy of the New Church past visiting Calvary Christian, 4-1.
Del-Val. Kelly Dejos scored with 20 minutes left in the game and Academy Park pulled into a first-place tie with visiting Interboro with a 2-1 win over the visiting Bucs.

Girls' Tennis
Britney Walsh and Rosie Carberry came through with a win at No. 2 doubles and helped Villa Joseph Marie beat Merion Mercy, 5-0, in a Catholic Academies match.
Walsh and Carberry beat Mary Kate Roccato and Amanda Monti, 6-1, 5-7, 10-8.
