Bartram quarterback Laquan Williams engineered a pair of touchdowns to help his school earn its first football title since 2001 yesterday.
The Maroon Wave (6-0 overall, 3-0 league) used that performance to beat host Germantown, 14-6, and clinch the Public League Class AAAA White Division crown.
It was the first division title for Bartram since it won the Division D title in 2001. That team made it to the league semifinals before falling to Washington, 22-0.
Williams connected with wide receiver Antwan Byrd on a 60-yard pass in the second quarter. He added a conversion run for an 8-0 lead.
Lincoln 19, West Philadelphia 8 - The Railsplitters (2-4, 1-2) earned their first division win as quarterback Joe McCausland connected with Omar Black on touchdown passes covering 33 and 22 yards.
Frankford 41, Central 0 - The Pioneers gave new meaning to the term "short work" against the visiting Lancers.
The Pioneers (4-1 overall, 2-0 league) scored all of their points in the first half and took advantage of a running clock in the second half to beat the visiting Lancers, 41-0.
Frankford was paced by 5-foot-6, 155-pound senior halfback Akeem Watson, who gained 123 yards on five carries, including touchdowns covering 56 and 48 yards.
Bok 16, Ben Franklin 14 - Andre Frazier scored on a 1-yard run with 10 minutes, 6 seconds left to keep the Wildcats (6-0, 3-0) unbeaten in a game played at 29th and Chalmers.
Edison 26, Fels 22 - Terrell Lee used his arm and legs to lead the Owls (1-3, 1-1) to their first win of the season at Northeast.
Lee hit Vincent Boseman with a 64-yard touchdown strike in the first quarter, ran for a 2-yard touchdown in the second quarter, then helped win the game when he threw a lateral to Bryant Keal who turned and whipped the ball to Boseman who took it 84 yards down the field for a touchdown with 58 seconds left in the game.
Communications Tech 21, Del-Val Charter 6 - Stacy Hill scored on a pair of runs as the Phoenix (4-0, 2-0) remained unbeaten.
Hill scored on a 17-yard run in the first quarter and added a 7-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Catholic League
Curtis Wortham scored on runs of 22, 2 and 43 yards as Father Judge earned an impressive 28-14 win over visiting La Salle, the first league loss of the season for the Explorers.
Trailing, 14-0, at the half, the Crusaders (3-3, 2-1) got on the board when Tony Smith connected with Tommy Ryan on a 58-yard touchdown pass.
Wortham gained 221 yards on 32 carries.
Central League
Phil Graziano scored on runs of 2, 41 and 8 yards for Marple Newtown in a 24-7 win at Radnor, the first win of the season for the Tigers (1-5, 1-5). Marple Newtown cornerback Ryan White picked off a pair of passes.
Garnet Valley 21, Haverford High 14 - The host Jaguars (6-0, 6-0) scored the first 21 points of the game and held off a late rally to remain unbeaten. Tim Keyser, a senior, gained 175 yards on just 11 carries for Garnet Valley.

On Hall of Fame Night at Hatboro-Horsham, the Hatters won a revenge game against rival Souderton, 32-0, almost completely turning around last year's score (a 35-0 loss to the Indians).
Edward Coombs scored on a 65-yard run and caught a 40-yard pass from Dan Lineberger as the Hatters evened their record at 3-3 overall, 2-1 league.
