Highlights from Friday's sports in Pennsylvania.

Riley Hansen tipped in the game-winning goal in overtime Friday to lift seventh-seeded Owen J. Roberts to a 2-1 field hockey win against No. 15 Central Bucks South at home in the District 1 Class 3A quarterfinals. Hansen's shot came from the left side of the cage in a scramble 11 minutes into overtime.

Bridget Guinan gave the Wildcats the lead in the first half off a pass from Julie Lamb. Megan Gillard tied the match in the second half for the visitors.

Cassie Mickelsavage made a critical stop in overtime for Owen J. Roberts when she stopped a breakaway attempt from Central Bucks South's Casey Reilly.

The win gives Owen J. Roberts a berth in the state tournament and a place in the district semifinals on Tuesday, where the Wildcats will face No. 3 Conestoga.

Central Bucks South, which was coming off an upset win against Methacton, will face No. 11 North Penn on Tuesday in the playback round in an attempt to make the state tournament.

Riley Donnelly struck in the first overtime to lift Central Bucks East past Haverford High, 2-1, in the District 1 Class 3A quarterfinals. Mackenzie Boyle tied the match in the second half for the Patriots after Kelsy Knapp gave Haverford High the lead in the first half.

Top-seeded New Hope-Solebury defeated third-seeded Gwynedd Mercy, 3-0, in the District 1 Class 1A championship match. Erin Firth, Lilly Smith, and Sarah Wilson scored a goal apiece and Elsie Jones had the shutout in the cage for the Lions. New Hope-Solebury played stingy defense all season and gave up just one goal in 18 matches all season.

Emily Doyle paced Villa Maria with four goals in a 6-0 win against visiting Strath Haven in the District 1 Class 2A quarterfinals. Lindsay Dickinson and Adele Iacobucci also scored.

Episcopal Academy exploded for five goals in the second half to earn a 5-0 win against visiting Springside Chestnut Hill in Inter-Ac play. Gianna Pantaleo scored twice and Alex Peyton, Maddie Rehak, and Olivia Tuma added a goal each.

Boys’ Soccer

Cole Kreuzberger scored twice to lead Episcopal Academy to a 4-1 win against visiting Penn Charter. Nate Hunter and Sam Wilson chipped in a goal apiece in the win. Ryan Brady had the lone strike for Penn Charter.

Nate McDowell scored the game-winner in the second half in Springside Chestnut Hill's 1-0 win against Haverford School at home. Philip Burckhardt got the assist on the goal that came four minutes into the second half.

Girls’ Soccer

George School defeated Abington Friends, 2-1, on penalty kicks in the Quaker Cup semifinals. Goalkeeper Norah Greer scored the game-winning penalty kick after the game finished in a 1-1 draw.

Gia Vicari scored twice to lift Baldwin to a 3-1 win against host Penn Charter in Inter-Ac play. Celia Page added one goal in the win.

Girls’ Volleyball

Sacred Heart won the District 1, Class 2A championship. The Lions defeated Dock Mennonite, 25-22, 25-19, 25-16.

Girls’ Cross Country

The PIAA District 1 championships took place in Goodman Stadium at Lehigh University with 1A, 2A, and 3A titles being awarded.

Sacred Heart Academy won the 1A title with Kayleigh Doyle leading the way in second place. Doyle finished with in 20 minutes, 6 seconds. Teammate Emma Seifried was just behind her in third and Chiara O'Keefe and Hannah Seifried finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Abigail Brown of Calvary Christian Academy was the top finisher with a time of 19:52.

In the 2A race, Villa Joseph Marie narrowly edged Villa Maria to win the title, 41-42. Katie Irelan and Brianna Kling finished second and third for Villa Joseph Marie. Sarah Raubenheimer and Hope Brown took fourth and fifth as Villa Marie's top performers. Gwynedd-Mercy freshman Kelly Murray won the race by 15 seconds in 19:33.

Central Bucks West won the 3A title with two runners finishing in the top six. Julia Flood took fourth place in 18:46 and Piper Wilson earned sixth place in 18:56. North Penn's Ariana Gardizy finished 14 seconds faster than the rest of the field, at 18:09.

Boys’ Cross Country

The PIAA District 1 championships took place in Goodman Stadium at Lehigh University with 1A, 2A, and 3A titles being awarded.

Jenkintown dominated the 1A race to earn the title. Jack Miller was the top performer, finishing in 16:29. Teammates Joshua Jackson, Luke Miller, Carter Geer, and Patrick Wagner finished second through fifth, respectively.

Pope John Paul II came away with the 2A title with two runners finishing in the top five. Shane Mckeon took third place in 17:08 and Michael Florig finished right behind him in fourth.

Payton Sewall finished 11th and Tyler Rollins took 12th to lead Downingtown West to the 3A title. Rusty Kujdych of Neshaminy won the race in 15:11.
