Friday's S.J. roundup: Haddon Township boys' basketball survives against Pennsauken Tech

Brian Burns' bucket in the paint Friday with five seconds left in overtime lifted the Haddon Township boys' basketball team over Pennsauken Tech, 47-46. Burns finished with 12 points. Jackson Landgraf, who led all scorers with 20 points, sent the game into overtime with an off-balance three-pointer. Eric Shuttleworth contributed 13 points for the Hawks.

Mahir Yilmaz broke Clayton's all-time scoring record with 1,426 career points in a 111-79 loss to Haddon Heights. Yilmaz ended the game with 10 points. Jared Latane put up 34 points for the Garnets while teammate Isaiah Turner pitched in with 21.

Ryan Leonard and Matan Zucker each scored 20 points as Lawrenceville defeated Phelps, 62-56, in overtime.

Noah Syer scored a game-high 23 points as Sterling upended Vineland, 61-51. Zakobe Streater added 12 points for the Silver Knights.

DaVaughn Williams notched 33 points as Camden County Tech took down Salem, 89-69. Warren Bethea and Damon Jones added 24 and 20 points, respectively, for the Warriors.

Anthony Thomas finished with 22 points as Northern Burlington beat Pennsauken, 62-55. Josh Jackson had 19 points for the Greyhounds.

CJ Holmes scored a game-high 21 points in Schalik's 59-52 victory over Deptford.Tyreese Snipe and Javon Spann added 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Cougars.

Terrell Martinez-Jones posted 29 points as Medford Tech upended Burlington Township, 72-64. Nathan Conyer contributed 18 points for the Jaguars.

Eric Diaz scored 18 points as Paulsboro cruised past Lindenwold, 85-55. Andrew Hampton-Adams added 14 points while Dehron Holloway had 12 points for the Red Raiders.

Michael Cramer scored a game-high 19 points in Moorestown Friends' 61-50 loss to Friends' Central.  Mason Mosley led the Phoenix with 16 points.

Girls' Baksketball

Katie Morrison scored a game-high 24 points as Deptford edged Schalik, 57-51, in overtime. Tamarah Lowber added seven points, five rebounds, and seven steals for the Spartans.

Shayla Sweeney poured in 34 points as Pennsauken held off Northern Burlington, 50-46. Evelyn Cortorreal chipped in 12 points for the Indians.

Melvonna Singleton recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds as Palmyra defeated Bordentown, 34-29. Ashanti Taylor added five points and 12 rebounds for the victors.

Meghan Albertson recorded 14 points as Delran topped Buena, 42-39.

Nikita Acker scored a team-high 16 points as Woodstown downed Triton, 63-45. Jordan Carty and Janelle Fisher contributed 13 points apiece for the Mustangs.

Chanice Eley scored 10 points in Pitman's 43-21 victory over Penns Grove.

Deji Cook scored 12 points for Glassboro in a 44-23 win over Overbrook. Genesis Vaughn and Sha'Lynn Clarke eached chipped in 11 points for the Bulldogs.

Charlotte Stern scored 23 points in Moorestown Friends' 54-32 victory over Friends' Central. Bella Runyan added 10 points for the Foxes.
