S.J. lacrosse: Haran, Scharadin lead Holy Cross past Middle Township

Savanah Haran and Ashley Scharadin each scored three goals as second-seeded host Holy Cross downed No. 3 Middle Township, 9-6, in the semifinals of the South Jersey Group 1 girls' lacrosse playoffs on Thursday. Cassy Skelton made 16 saves.

South Jersey Group 4 Girls' Semifinals

Caroline Farley and Liza Barr had three goals apiece as No. 2 Shawnee beat No. 6 Rancocas Valley, 12-4, at home.

Lenape 15, Clearview 5 - Gabrielle Fornia had five goals and four assists to push the top-seeded Indians to a win over the No. 4 Pioneers.

South Jersey Group 3 Girls' Semifinals

Melanie Becker and Abbey Brooks each scored three goals to boost top-seeded Moorestown to a 19-2 win over No. 4 Wall Township.

South Jersey Group 3 Boys' Semifinals

Quinn Willis scored five goals as No. 2 Moorestown beat third-seeded Clearview, 15-11.

Shawnee 15, Princeton 5 - Dave Smith's five goals, one assist and 16 ground balls powered the top-seeded Renegades past the fourth-seeded visitors.

South Jersey Group 4 Boys' Semifinals

Jordan Krug's four goals led No. 4 Cherokee, the hosts, to a 12-6 victory over No. 8 Eastern.

Lenape 13, Monroe Township 4 - Anthony Brunetti and Tim Montgomery each had two goals and two assists as the No. 2 Indians beat the third seed.

S.J. Non-Public A Boys' Quarterfinals

Nick DeCaprio, John Fox, Charlie Kitchen, and Brad Meister scored two goals each, and No. 4 St. Augustine, the host, defeated No. 5 St. Joseph's (Montvale), 13-4.

South Jersey Group 2 Boys' Semifinals

Peter Burke, Tyver Butler and Kevin Gray scored two goals each to lead top-seeded Seneca to an 8-5 win over visiting, No. 4 Allentown.
