Thurs. S.J. boys and girls: Krake lifts C.H. West

With a game between local rivals in double overtime, Nick Krake beat the opposing goalie to end it all. Just 1 minute, 47 seconds into the second overtime, Krake dribbled the ball into the net to give Cherry Hill West a 1-0 home win over Cherry Hill East in an Olympic American boys' soccer matchup on Thursday afternoon.

Just 1 minute, 47 seconds into the second overtime, Krake dribbled the ball into the net to give Cherry Hill West a 1-0 home win over Cherry Hill East in an Olympic American boys' soccer matchup on Thursday afternoon.

Kevin Hoxha assisted Krake with a through ball from midfield.

"It was a well-played, clean game," Lions coach Dan Butler said. "We generated a lot of opportunities and did a great job defensively to get the shutout."

Elsewhere in the league, Derek MacKinnon, Marc Murgo, and Burak Ozdemir scored goals as Washington Township, ranked second in South Jersey by The Inquirer, defeated No. 3 Cherokee, 3-1.

Burlington Patriot. Patrick Harkanson scored two goals and Luke Gentile netted one in Holy Cross' 3-0 win at Maple Shade.

Burlington Freedom. Faruk Ozdemir and Jo'el Aguilar recorded two goals each when Burlington City beat host Westampton Tech, 5-1.

Nonleague. Gabriel Carreno and John McFadden each scored twice in Riverside's 5-2 triumph over visiting Doane Academy.

Olympic National. Brendan Atkinson scored the winning goal with 3:25 left in overtime to propel Timber Creek over visiting Paul VI, 3-2.

Andreas Papadourakis scored a hat trick as Bishop Eustace rolled over host Camden Catholic, 8-0.

Cape-Atlantic National. Kayla Patitucci's second goal of the night won the game in overtime as Holy Spirit edged St. Joseph, 4-3. The Spartans' Christine Conaghy also scored twice in the victory.

Field Hockey

Jane Donio-Enscoe paired two goals with three assists in Hammonton's 7-1 home victory over Woodstown in a nonleague matchup.

In other nonleague play, Angie DelPalazzo scored twice in Delsea's 4-0 victory against visiting Williamstown.

Colonial Liberty. Katy Repholz scored two goals to push Moorestown Friends past visiting Medford Tech, 5-0. Goalie Mikaila Myers made 20 saves in the defeat.

Caroline Bickel, Ana Buzzerd, Sophie Popp, and Meghan Smart had goals in Haddonfield's home triumph over Audubon, 4-0.

Girls' Soccer

Chelsea Fadio scored a hat trick to lift Audubon over host Collingswood, 4-1, in a Colonial Liberty matchup.

Burlington Liberty. Miranda Sackner scored twice to push Cinnaminson over host Burlington Township, 3-2.

Burlington Freedom. Christine Morrill and Sierra Perkins scored in Medford Tech's 2-1 victory at Florence.

Burlington Patriot. Mecara Bruce and Brianna Pagnani each scored twice in Bordentown's 6-1 win at Pemberton, clinching at least a share of the division title for the Scotties.

Burlington County. Sarah Henig and Kieran Lees scored to give Moorestown Friends a 2-1 home win against Riverside.

Jessica Diamond and Paige Seay scored in Burlington City's 2-1 triumph over visiting Westampton Tech. D'Zhanae Roman had 25 saves in the loss.

Cross-Country

Noah Culbreath successfully defended his title, finishing the 3.1-mile course in 16:23 to lead Kingsway to its third straight team crown at the Gloucester County Championships at Rowan University.

On the girls' side, the Dragons' Rachel Vick won the individual title, finishing in 19:23.

Camden County Championships. Nicholas Pschunder placed third in 15:46.83 and Vipul Chat completed the 3.1-mile course in fifth (16:17.59), giving Eastern the boys' team title with 71 points at Pennypacker Park in Haddonfield.

Monica Lee won the girls' race in 19:07.91 for Cherry Hill East and teammate Greer Field followed in sixth (19:53.06), leading the Cougars to the top spot with 60 points.

Volleyball

Eastern coach Tom Armour earned his 300th victory when the Vikings defeated Cherokee, 2-0, in an Olympic American matchup.
