S. Jersey Girls: Tues. S.J. girls: Williamstown tops Triton

By the time Williamstown walked off the field after the first half Tuesday afternoon, the Braves had a win practically sealed.

Ranked No. 4 in South Jersey by The Inquirer, the visiting Braves netted three first-half goals in a 4-1 victory at Triton in a Tri-County Royal girls' soccer game.

Madelyn Buchanan finished with two goals. Ashley Engler and Allie Schneeman scored one apiece. Mary Kate Ulmer recorded a pair of assists.

Taylor Bynoe made four saves.

Elsewhere in Tri-County Royal action:

Renae Moken led visiting Highland with two goals in a 4-2 win over Kingsway. Ashleah Hart and Lauren Hoelke each netted a goal.

Emily Moran scored in the first half to lead Clearview to victory at GCIT, 1-0.

Tri-County Diamond. Tori Miller struck twice, once in each half, to aid host Delsea in a 2-0 shutout of Schalick. Jess Monteleone had an assist. Hannah Seabert was credited with six saves.

Lindzey Mosley had a hat trick and an assist in Cumberland's 6-0 rout of Glassboro at home. Goalie Makayla Pepper made 15 saves.

Brianna Jankauskas scored three goals to lead Deptford in a 4-1 win at Woodstown. Erin Williamson also scored. Jordan Johnson had an assist.

Tri-County Classic. Lexie DePew and Lexi Slusher scored two goals apiece in Pennsville's 7-0 victory over host Salem.

Taylor Brown had three assists. Alyssa Whipkey registered seven saves.

Burlington County Liberty. Caroline Rockhill netted two goals in Rancocas Valley's 3-0 win at Burlington Township.

Kelly Moss added a goal and an assist. Madz Polino was credited with two assists.

Burlington County Freedom. Erica Bruno struck three times as host Florence eased past Willingboro, 4-0. Karlie Carmignani added a goal. Makenzie Ullman had an assist. Kasey Jusino made five saves.

Palmyra scored all three of its goals in the second half of a 3-1 win over visiting Burlington City. Lily Garrett, Rachel VanArtsdalen, and Elizabeth Warnock scored. Liza Tait made six saves.

Medford Tech's Kiele Cruse made five saves in a 2-0 shutout of Trenton Catholic.

Nonleague. Chelsea Jo Horta and Kasie Shively each scored twice in Riverside's 6-1 victory over host Doane Academy. Kenzee Hudson and Lyndsay Micucci netted a goal apiece.

 

Field Hockey

Cassie Francis scored twice and had four assists to lead Gloucester in a 6-0 rout of host Gloucester Catholic in a Tri-County Classic game.

Haylee Courant recorded a hat trick. Sarah Deetz registered seven saves.

In other Tri-County Classic action, Nylah Seals provided all the scoring, netting two second-half goals in host Salem's 2-0 win over Pennsville. Tiasia Tatem made six saves.

Tri-County Royal. Kingsway struck for six goals in the second half en route to a 6-0 shutout of visiting Highland.

Nicole Tuller had a hat trick. Celeste Azzari scored twice. Sophia Casella had three assists.

Tri-County Diamond. Sarah Fisher and Caroline Woodside scored goals to lead host Woodstown to victory over Deptford, 2-0.

Colonial Liberty. Alyssa Cavalaro and Serena Pearson both scored as Overbrook edged visiting Sterling, 2-1.

Molly O'Neill netted a pair of goals in host Collingswood's 4-1 defeat of Audubon.

Colonial Patriot. Hannah Dugaanitz had a hat trick and Claudia Bowman scored twice, as visiting Haddon Heights rolled past Lindenwold, 10-0.

 

Tennis

Cherokee's Amelia Ying defeated Cherry Hill East's Gabrielle Zimmerman, 6-1, 6-2, to win the Olympic Conference American Division singles championship and earn the 100th win of her career.

The senior has an overall record of 100-17.
