Field hockey teams to watch

Bishop Eustace (18-2). The Crusaders have a loaded sophomore class led by Drew Pecora, Erin Quinn, and Alexis DeGennero, who combined for 23 goals as freshmen. Goalie Tara Young is another key veteran.

Camden Catholic (16-5). The Irish lost all-time leading scorer Tara Vittese among other standouts but should rebuild behind junior Kelli Connolly (20 goals, 12 assists) and senior goalie Caroline Hearn.

Collingswood (20-3-1). The Panthers return senior goalie Becca Hall along with seniors Kelly Rodgers (17 goals) and Rachel Galante (11 goals, eight assists) among other veterans from last year's Central Jersey Group 1 champions.

Eastern (26-0-1). The Vikings have won 15 Group 4 state titles in a row and show no signs of slowing down. Leading the way will be senior Austyn Cuneo (96 goals), junior Madison Morano (19 goals, 20 assists), and sophomore MacKenzie Keegan. Also keep an eye on senior Ali Hoag, juniors Jordan Alcoy-Quinn and Nikki Santoro, and sophomore goalie Cassie Kincaid, among many others.

Haddonfield (11-10-1). The Bulldogs return several veterans led by junior forward Suzie Clark, sophomore forward Kayla Warner, and senior defender Amanda Auguliaro. Other key seniors include Mallory Ilves, Gia DelDuca, and Jackie Karlsson.

Kingsway (14-4-2). The Dragons will be led by senior forward Marissa Ciocco (11 goals), Alex Disciascio, and Marissa Anderson, along with junior midfielder Celeste Azzari.

Moorestown (16-2). The Quakers should have a rugged defense led by seniors Rachel Stefano, an American University recruit, and Kendall Coughlin. Seniors Alex O'Donnell (16 goals, 11 assists) and Paige Powell (nine goals) are top midfielders.

Ocean City (19-6). The two-time defending Group 3 state champions will be in the hunt for hardware again with a dynamic one-two punch in seniors Kelly Hanna, a Rutgers recruit, and Lauren McNally, a Penn State recruit.

Shawnee (12-8). The Renegades will be led by speedy senior forward Julie Duncan, a Maryland recruit. Other players to watch are sophomore goalie Gianna Glatz and seasoned seniors Lily Argyle, Lindsay Engle, Cailin Flannery, and Bridget O'Hanlon.

Washington Township (12-9). The Minutemaids return several veterans, including junior midfielders Jenna Patrone (18 goals, 11 assists) and Colleen McAninley (13 goals, 13 assists). Other players to watch are seniors Kaitlyn Hatch, Juliana Macrini, Taylor Kelly, Lauren Sandelier, and Katie Cleary. - Phil Anastasia
