Softball players to watch

Listed in alphabetical order.

Alyssa Cudeyro, Washington Township. In last year's South Jersey Group 4 semifinal, Cudeyro, a Holy Family recruit, went 2 for 3 with three RBIs.

Tori Danner, Kingsway. The senior catcher batted .496 in 2013, adding six home runs and 39 RBIs. She has committed to play at Iona.

Brianne Innamorato, Bishop Eustace. The senior infielder will head to Florida Gulf Coast after graduation. She compiled a .825 slugging percentage in 2013, and is entering her third straight year as team captain.

Dylan Jarvis, Paul VI. Jarvis, a Towson recruit, batted .425 last year. The senior centerfielder is one hit away from the 100th of her high school career.

Rosie LaGrotta, Paul VI. The senior pitcher has committed to Millersville. She is a transfer from Sacred Heart and went 23-3 with a 1.33 ERA in 2013.

Jessica Hughes, Washington Township. Hughes, a junior shortstop, went 3 for 5 with a triple in the Group 4 state championship game last year.

Annie Murphy, Deptford. The senior centerfielder, who will play at Boston College, hit .553 (.906 slugging percentage) last year and was named first-team All-South Jersey and first team all-Tri-County Conference.

Brielle Pietrefesa, Paul VI. Pietrafesa hit .550 with 13 home runs last year. The senior shortstop has 143 career hits and will play at Hofstra.

Val Pineiro, Audubon. The La Salle-bound third baseman hit .435 and batted in 24 runs last year. She was also one of the leading scorers for the girls' basketball team.

Annie Robinson, Gloucester Catholic. Robinson, a four-year starter at first base and a Coastal Carolina recruit, had 12 home runs and 61 RBIs last year.

Erynn Sobieski, GCIT. The Albany recruit hit .419 last year. She also had a 17-6 record with a 0.98 ERA for the Cheetahs.

Stephanie Walsh, Buena. The senior infielder hit .459 and scored 32 runs last year. She is a multisport athlete, also playing basketball and soccer for Buena.
