Lori Quintavalle has been named girls' soccer coach at Haddonfield, athletic director Lefty Banos announced Thursday.
Quintavalle, a 2000 Haddonfield graduate, replaces Glenn Gess, who resigned after last season. Gess was 189-18-7 and led the Bulldogs to three Group 2 state titles in eight seasons.
Quintavalle has been an assistant coach for the last nine years. She also is an assistant coach in girls' basketball and track and is a health and physical education teacher at Haddonfield.
Quintavalle was a standout player for Haddonfield and played four years of soccer at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
"Coach Quintavalle's soccer knowledge, strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and wonderful rapport with colleagues, parents, and student-athletes will serve her well in becoming a successful head coach," Banos said.
