Northern Burlington's furious fourth-quarter rally came up short, as visiting Lawrence held off the third-seeded Greyhounds, 56-49, to win the Central Jersey Group 3 boys' basketball championship Tuesday night.

"We had to bring the pressure up another notch in the fourth," Greyhounds coach Gene Darling said. "We continued to fight, like we have all year long, and it just wasn't enough."

Northern Burlington guard Jalen Peacock drained a three-pointer to cut the deficit, which was 17 points entering the quarter, to four with 31 seconds left, but Cardinal Semei Mitchell scored on the next possession to thwart the comeback attempt.
