Brake leads Cherry Hill West to sweep

Brake inched out a 2-1 decision at 132 pounds to help the Lions roll over Lenape, 56-11.

In West's 62-13 win over Cherry Hill East, Brake needed just 35 seconds to record a fall. He added a 4:51 pin in the opening bout of the team's 52-15 win over Paul VI.

Mark Papaneri also secured three wins, including a 27-second pin against Cherry Hill East. Tucker Patten added a pin and a technical fall.

Burlington County. Matt Szymanski captured a pin at 170 pounds to help Delran ease past visiting Riverside, 54-17. Chris Pfeffer added a pin at 126 and Michael Boyd rolled to a decision at 152 pounds.

Olympic. Eastern dropped the first four bouts before rallying to drop host Seneca, 43-25. Izreal Brooks pulled out a 3-2 decision at heavyweight, Jake Forsman grabbed a technical fall at 113, and Ronald Barbella pinned to win at 132.

Rafael Melendez secured a fall in 1:00 at 120 pounds as Eastern dominated the lighter weights en route to dropping Winslow Township, 43-33. Colin Mitchell added a pin at 126 as Eastern won each of the five bouts between 106 and 132 pounds.

Nonleague. Ajala Modraza's pin in 25 seconds at 152 pounds helped Burlington City roll over Gloucester, 55-18. The Blue Devils won the last six bouts of the match, capped by Fritz Shields' 38-second pin at 220 pounds.

Modraza recorded another first-period pin as Burlington City downed Palmyra, 60-18. Qadir Modraza added a 7-2 decision at 170 pounds and Ryan Daniels won by pin at 160.

Sonnieboy Blanco, Ajala Modraza, and Joe Baear recorded pins to help Burlington City knock off Sterling, 48-23.

Deon Henry scored a major decision at 145 pounds in the last bout to clinch Schalick's 34-33 win over Mainland.

Henry's 19-9 win was set up by Stewart Richardson's 5-1 decision at 138 pounds as the Cougars trailed by six points with two bouts left. John Fitzpatrick led Mainland with a pin in the opening bout at 152 pounds.

Jared Martinez scored a first-period pin at 126 pounds as Bordentown eased past Holy Cross, 54-24. Tyler Kerr (106 pounds) and Ted Rigas (113) added falls.

Robert Clugsten's decision at 120 pounds came in the middle of a dominant stretch as Bordentown topped Pennsauken, 43-28. The Scotties won each of the five weight class between 106 and 132 pounds.

Connor Quinn won by major decision at 145 pounds as Burlington Township downed Bishop Eustace, 28-11. The match included 12 forfeits.
