Madison McClintock's two baskets and a pair of free throws by Johanna James accounted for Gloucester's scoring in overtime, allowing the third-seeded Lions to pull out a 47-44 victory at No. 2 seed Haddon Township on Friday in a South Jersey Group 1 girls' basketball semifinal.

McClintock finished with 15 points and James scored 14 in helping Gloucester get off to a strong start. The Hawks regrouped from an early 10-4 deficit, however, with Alayxiah Carr picking up 10 of her 12 points in the fourth period.

In the other semifinal, Kristine Miller ruled the lane, totaling 23 points and 11 rebounds, Mercina Stefanski scored 18, and Mikila Stefanski produced 14 points and six assists in guiding top-seeded Cedar Creek over No. 5 seed Glassboro, 77-37.

South Jersey Non-Public A. Sophomore Summer Crilley scored nine points, including a buzzer-beating three-pointer to cap an 11-2 second-quarter run, as fifth-seeded Holy Spirit went on to a 42-35 win at No. 4 seed Gloucester Catholic.

"Not only did [Crilley's shot] buoy us, I think it took a lot of wind out of their sails," said Holy Spirit coach Dennis Smith.

Annie Wenz scored 10 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter for the Spartans, who received eight points or more from four players. Crilley also contributed six assists and three steals.

Nicole Fallon had a dozen points for Gloucester Catholic.

Holy Spirit advances to Monday's semifinal at top-seeded St. Rose of Belmar, which won its semifinal, 52-34, over No. 9 seed Holy Cross.

Ashli Jeune tossed in 22 points and Amanda Offenback cleared seven rebounds for the visiting Lancers, who fell behind by 11 in the first half.

South Jersey Group 3. Tori Levari's 11 points topped a balanced attack for top-seeded Delsea, which took control with a 26-12 surge over the second and third quarters in pulling away from No. 4 seed Central Regional, 39-27.

The Crusaders will host Tuesday night's title game against No. 3 seed Seneca - which upended second-seeded Ocean City, 62-54, in the other semifinal.

Central Jersey Group 1. Bridgette Buckalew and Julie Ciak scored 14 points apiece and third-seeded New Egypt benefited from a 21-12 second-quarter surge, as the Warriors toppled No. 2 seed Burlington City, 54-49.
