Fri. S.J. girls' roundup: OC's Duggan nets 1,000th

Duggan scored her 1,000th point on a layup early in the third quarter, and finished the night with 1,005 points.

Also in the Cape-Atlantic:

Alex Raring (18 points) and Amy Macaluso (13) had the hot hands for Mainland, which used a 29-14 spree over the second and third quarters to win, 54-39, at Millville.

Tri-County. Courtney Smith and Antoinette Winchester each scored 16 to key a second-half surge, as host Penns Grove turned a two-point halftime lead into a 48-30 rout of Deptford.

Nonleague. Sara DeCinque earned a spot in the Haddon Township record book, reaching 1,000 career points on a layup in a 17-0 game-opening run, and the Hawks celebrated the occasion with a 59-28 home win over Moorestown Friends.

DeCinque went to the bench early with 10 points, boosting the senior guard's total to 1,004. Township's Kelly Roche and Bella Preziosi shared game scoring honors with 13 points apiece, while Alayxiah Carr contributed eight points and eight rebounds.

Brittany Snow's 16 points led four scorers in double figures and eighth-ranked Seneca seized control early in cruising to a 72-40 home win over No. 10 Sterling.

Erica Snow added 15 points, including three three-point baskets, to help offset a 21-point effort by the Silver Knights' Anyssa Sanchez.

Alexis Olson dominated the lowpost, totaling 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots, and Chelsea Marriner's 16 points paced a balanced attack that allowed Cape May Tech to hold off visiting Wildwood, 50-47. The Warriors wasted a 24-point performance by Jessica Freeman.

Deja Bullock's 21 points powered Triton to a 39-25 triumph at Pennsauken Tech.

Northern Burlington treated the home crowd to a 49-28 win over LEAP Academy.
