Thurs. S.J. boys' roundup: Moorestown upends Westampton Tech

Zac Frantz had a game-high 21 points for the Quakers, including 8 in a pivotal 19-14 third-quarter spurt. Alex Howard (16 points), Flannery (13) and Wes Kerr (12) also played major roles in helping Moorestown (5-11 overall, 3-4 division) avenge last month's 14-point loss to the Panthers (13-3, 6-2).

In other Burlco action:

Carlos Cruz tossed in 18 points while Alex Irvin and Matt Johnson added 16 apiece, allowing host Northern Burlington to outscore Bordentown, 88-63. The Scotties' Mike Jacobs scored 22.

Host Rancocas Valley ran away from Florence, 72-52, thanks to 29 points by Tariq Jett.

Tri-County. Cedric Elleby (18 points) and Kyle McCulley (16) had the hot hands for Delsea, which outlasted host Williamstown, 52-49, to claim the Royal Division championship.

Tim Delaney did yeoman's work in the lane, producing 21 points, 12 rebounds and eight blocked shots, and Eric Stafford contributed 15 points and 11 assists in leading Classic Division-leading Pitman past Clayton, 69-56.

Zak Barrett (19 points), Kyle Brown (15), Francis Christian (12) and Wes Hills (11) found their range in the second half, when Wildwood outscored host Gloucester, 38-17, to escape with a 61-52 road win.

Ge'Shawn Davis put in 23 of his 30 points after intermission, and DaQuan Chase dropped in four treys in scoring 22 to carry Penns Grove to a 71-56 win at Salem. Kyle Howell and Steve Logan had 16 points each for the Rams.

Josh Smith (24 points) and Kyle Hudson (17) sparked a 26-14 third quarter that put host Glassboro ahead to stay, as the host Bulldogs nipped GCIT, 70-67.

Colonial. Host Paulsboro clinched at least a share of the Patriot Division title, getting 30 points from Xavier Lundy and 18 by Theo Holloway in an 83-67 win over Sterling.

Liberty Division leader Haddonfield spread its scoring among 11 players, led by Mike Lacatena's 20 points, in demolishing host Gateway, 85-25.

The duo of Dom Mapp and Mike Diaz combined for 25 points, offsetting a 20-point effort by Haddon Township's Trey Thatcher and leading Overbrook to a 45-36 road win.

Mike Smith's 16 points paced Woodbury's balanced attack, as the Thundering Herd built a 22-point first-half lead and went on to trample host Collingswood, 75-43.

Brandon Joyner drilled five shots from downtown in scoring 30 points, and Haddon Heights enjoyed a 24-point advantage before settling for a 68-55 victory at Lindenwold.

Olympic. Perimeter sharpshooter Mike Wilson made an immediate impact, draining three shots from beyond the arc while scoring 13 of his 17 points in a game-opening 26-11 run, as second-ranked Eastern cruised to a 68-47 win at Woodrow Wilson.

Evan Ward had 17 points while Avery Brown and Kyle Robostello added 10 apiece for fifth-ranked Lenape, which went on a 37-17 spurt over the second and third quarters to take command in a 53-44 victory at Seneca.

Hank Davis had a game-high 17 points for Cherry Hill East, which placed five scorers in double figures in burying host Winslow Township, 85-62. Jake Gurkin (13 points) and Marc Schlessel (12) had 10 apiece in the first half, when the Cougars ran out to a 40-22 lead.

Amir Maddred, a transfer from Trenton Catholic, made his Camden debut memorable by knocking down five threes and scoring 32 points in a 77-56 home win over Triton. Brian Keller had 23 points for the Patriot Division-leading Mustangs.

Carson Puriefoy (21 points), Sho DaSilva (17) and Trevor Norton (13) gave fourth-ranked Bishop Eustace offensive options in a 64-48 victory over visiting Timber Creek and Dominique Reid (20).

Marquis Goodman made five treys in scoring 23 points, Rodney Williams chipped in 17 and Mike Faust buried the go-ahead three-pointer with 35 seconds to go in Cherry Hill West's 60-57 win at Camden Catholic.

Cape-Atlantic. Brian Clarke scored all of his nine points in the opening quarter, helping United Conference leader Wildwood Catholic take command from the outset and go on to defeat host St. Joseph, 46-31.

Lamar James (21 points) shot 6-for-6 from the foul line in scoring eight points in overtime, enabling Oakcrest to emerge with a wild 61-57 victory at Hammonton. Avery Walker added 16 points for the Falcons, who won despite squandering a 13-point fourth-quarter lead.
