Rancocas Valley's Kelsi Worrell broke two meet records, and Atlantic City's Colleen Callahan shattered another in the girls' Division A competition at the South Jersey Interscholastic Swimming Association Invitational on Saturday at GCIT.
Worrell won the 50-yard freestyle in a record time of 23.85 seconds and followed in the next event with a 55.79 clocking in the 100 butterfly, lowering the previous mark by 1.35 seconds.
Callahan, a junior, won the 200 individual medley (2:08.65) by 5.91 seconds, and broke the meet record she set as a freshman in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.73, beating her nearest competitor by 3.18 seconds.
Cherry Hill West, led by Courtney Patterson's win in the 200 freestyle and wins in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays, took the girls' team title.
St. Augustine grabbed the Division A boys' title by a 50-point margin over Shawnee as the Hermits' Jeffrey Flynn won the 50 and 100 freestyle races.
Division B. Will Manion set meet records in the 200 individual medley (1:53.66) and 100 backstroke (51.40), and his Haddonfield teammates set a mark of 3:19.00 in the 400 freestyle relay in the boys' competition.
Ocean City won the final event and edged Haddonfield by 11/2 points to take the girls' team title.
