Williamstown quarterback Dan Collins has committed to the University of Maine on a football scholarship.

"I really liked it up there," said Collins, who took an official visit last weekend. "The campus is beautiful."

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Collins was 39-for-86 passing for 759 yards for the run-oriented Braves last season. He helped Williamstown to an 8-2 record and the West Jersey Football League American Division title.

Collins said he hopes to major in business.

Two other Williamstown players, linebacker Rashon Pleasents and defensive lineman Fidel Okoye, have committed to Wagner, Braves coach Frank Fucetola said.

The 6-1, 205-pound Pleasents had 70 tackles and four sacks last season. The 6-2, 260-pound Okoye had 77 tackles and four sacks.

All three players are expected to sign national letters of intent Wednesday, the NCAA's National Signing Day for football recruits.
