Haddon Township finally regained the lead on pins by Jamie Caputo (170) and Tim Wolf (195), sandwiched around Steve Nelson's decision at 182 - setting the stage for Owens' heroics.

In other Colonial matches:

Zane Chunko's 3-1 overtime win over Jordan Saur at 126 keyed five consecutive victories by Collingswood, as the Panthers tamed host Sterling, 46-18.

Sam Morina had a 25-second pin at 113 pounds to open Paulsboro's 57-15 dismantiling of visiting Lindenwold.

In a see-saw battle that came down to criteria C - fewer unsportsmanlike conduct points - New Egypt edged host Bordentown, 31-30. Owen Rowley (220), Kyle Hendrickson (138) and Brad Schwarze (170) had pins for the Warriors.

Burlington City won just three contested bouts, including pins by Sonnieboy Blanco (170) and Justin Schnegelsberger (220), but the Blue Devils also benefited from five forfeits in defeating host Maple Shade, 47-27.
