Fri. S.J. boys' basketball roundup: Audubon gets first win

Adin Borden capped his 22-point performance by converting 10 of 12 free throws in overtime, as host Audubon claimed its first win of the boys' basketball season on Friday, 64-63, over Woodstown in a nonleague thriller.

DaSean Mundell, who also scored 22, teamed with Borden to make six three-point baskets for the 1-7 Green Wave. Zach Smick's 23 points led the Wolverines, who rallied late to force overtime.

In other nonleague action:

Junior center Jake Heminway posted a double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds for Cape May Tech in a 51-45 loss to visiting Gateway. Joe Palmer's 12 points paced the Gators' balanced attack.

Bridgeton stormed out to a 20-6 lead and rode Dontae Stubb's 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals to a 51-42 win at Rancocas Valley.

Rodney Williams found his range in the second quarter, scoring 16 of his 22 in a 27-9 surge, paving the way for Cherry Hill West's 70-36 win at Camden Academy Charter.

Host Camden County Tech received scoring from 10 players, with Devon Ellis (18 points) and Armond Foster (15) leading the way, in a 74-49 conquest of Northwest Prep.

Tri-County. Brad Fagan scored a game-high 24 points while Ray Lawry and Kevin Barr combined for 22, as Kingsway coasted at Cumberland, 70-44.

Burlington County. Mike Jacobs' 30-point outburst helped Bordentown bounce host Moorestown, 67-31.

Kennedy Chukwuocha tossed in 21 points and Medford Tech turned in an impressive defensive effort in the first half of its 58-41 victory at Pemberton.

Cape-Atlantic. Shawn Wilson made a pair of three-point baskets in scoring 18, and Mike Black (15 points) keyed a 21-6 third-quarter spree that propelled Pleasantville to a 73-56 triumph at Oakcrest.

Millville spread the wealth on offense, getting double-figure scoring from Aaron Cox (16 points), Davonte Tull (16), Nick Kirey (13), and Allen Gaskins (13) in a 68-50 rout of visiting Vineland.

Rahim Bunch led all scorers with 19 points, and the tandem of Justin Williams (18) and Trey Jones (15) ignited a 20-9 third-quarter run that enabled host Egg Harbor Township to run away from Absegami, 66-45.

Penn-Jersey. Carlton Allen sank 11 of 12 from the foul line and scored seven of his 21 points down the stretch to ensure Life Center's 51-38 victory at Solebury School.
