St. Joseph field hockey coach John DeMarco was hoping to celebrate his 46th birthday on Friday with a win.

Emily DeMarco helped make her father's wish come true, setting up Molly Mullee's goal with 27 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the top-seeded Wildcats over No. 4 seed Glassboro, 1-0, in a South Jersey Group 1 semifinal.

St. Joseph netminder Becky Boffo made 13 saves to earn the shutout. Glassboro did put the ball in the cage once in regulation, but the goal was waved off when it was ruled that the shot came from outside the circle.

The victory sets up a third consecutive sectional final between the Wildcats and Schalick. St. Joseph took the championship last season, 2-0, and Schalick won, 1-0 in overtime, in 2009.

Central Jersey Group 1. Dazmonique Carr pulled Haddon Heights even with just under 17 minutes remaining in regulation and Frankie Rosati deposited the game-winner 4 minutes into overtime, as the sixth-seeded Garnets rallied to upend No. 2 seed Maple Shade, 3-2.

Megan Anstotz (two goals) and Julie Johnson (one goal, one assist) fueled a three-goal second half that carried No. 5 seed Audubon to a 4-1 upset at top-seeded New Egypt.

South Jersey Group 2. Carolynn Clark's two goals and two assists led the way as top-seeded Haddonfield rolled over No. 5 seed Buena, 7-1. Tenaya Clark and Ali LaMaina also scored twice, while Megan Johnston added a goal and two assists.

Brooke Brown and Amanda Hojnowski had two goals apiece to power No. 3 seed West Deptford to a 5-0 whitewash of seventh-seeded Lower Cape May.

South Jersey Group 4. Emily Arnot's second-half penalty stroke lifted second-seeded Shawnee over No. 6 seed Southern Regional, 2-1, ensuring a berth in the final against top-seeded Eastern.

Central Jersey Group 4. Kristen Knodt's goal early in the second half put Rancocas Valley ahead, but a late rally enabled No. 3 seed Freehold Township to edge the seventh-seeded Red Devils, 2-1.

North Jersey 2 Group 1. Kate Reed came through with 25 saves for third-seeded Florence in an 8-0 loss at No. 2 seed Shore Regional.
