Emily Bausher took perfection to another level on Friday, and New Egypt scratched out a run in the ninth inning to outlast host Maple Shade, 1-0, in a softball battle between Burlington County League division leaders.

Bausher kept the Wildcats off balance and off the base paths - striking out 21 while retiring all 27 batters she faced.

Lauren Routzahn was merely brilliant in defeat, shutting the Warriors out over the first eight innings while surrendering five hits and one walk.

But New Egypt's Kayla Soles led off the ninth with a double, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Morgan Knigge, and raced home on Haley Anderson's grounder to second base.

In other Burlco action:

Olympic. Megan Parker, who usually plays third base for Eastern, pitched a no-hitter in her first varsity pitching appearance as the host Vikings dispatched Pennsauken, 10-0, in five innings.

Tri-County. Winning pitcher Samantha Shockey supplied some muscle to Deptford's 11-hit attack, joining Jenna Gayeski in going 3 for 4 with three RBIs, as the host Spartans slammed Schalick, 9-4.

Meghan Brown doubled twice in going 4 for 4 with three runs scored and two RBIs, and Rachel Cressman combined with Danielle Williams for six hits, four runs, and four RBIs as host Pitman handed Pennsville its first loss in Classic Division play, 10-4.

Jayme Zeilman scattered three hits in pitching Delsea to a 2-0 triumph at Cumberland.

Lacrosse

Mary O'Connell of Bishop Eustace treated the home crowd to a six-goal performance, but Clearview used an 11-4 second-half surge to pull out an 18-12 triumph in the Olympic Conference.

Chelsea Derolf had five goals, Josie Quaile netted four, and Kim Tumolo and Jessica Loizeaux each added a hat trick for the Pioneers.

In another Olympic match, Katelyn Ogg and Danielle LaRocca scored four goals apiece to power host Eastern past West Deptford, 12-2.

Burlington County. Jenna Graham scored a game-high six goals and Dorothy Westlake contributed a hat trick along with two assists, as Holy Cross cruised to a 19-6 win at Northern Burlington.
