Sat. S.J. boys’ and girls’ roundup: Lenape triumphs in Myrtle Beach

Chris Malinowski started the game-winning rally by drawing a leadoff walk, moved to third on a throwing error, and came home on Bobby Isopi's RBI groundout to second.

The Indians completed their trip to the Palmetto State with three wins in four games.

On Friday in Orlando, Fla., Rancocas Valley split a doubleheader at the Disney Wide World of Sports.

Tyler Bayley, who struck out six in going the distance for the win, singled twice and drove in three runs to lead the Red Devils over Canandaigua Academy (N.Y.), 13-6. Alex Monek doubled twice and scored two runs for RV, which banged out 15 hits.

A two-run seventh-inning rally made Passaic Valley a 7-5 winner over Rancocas Valley in the other game. Ryan Nowitzke's triple capped a three-run outburst in the third that briefly put the Red Devils ahead.

Boys' Lacrosse

Moorestown shared the ball on attack, getting goals from Mike Angelieri, Forrest Klawunn, Alex Martinelli, and Matt Olbrich, but the Quakers still came up short in a 5-4 loss at Watchung Hills in the Skylands Conference.

Girls' Lacrosse

In an Olympic Conference matchup featuring teams ranked in The Inquirer's Top 10, No. 2 Shawnee controlled play throughout in cruising to a 19-5 win at No. 8 Cherokee.

Nicole Troost single-handedly outscored the Chiefs, pumping in six goals, while Karlee Dean, Kristin Kocher, and Alexis Newman each added a hat trick for the Renegades. Michelle Gonzales and Lauren Karpovich scored two goals apiece for Cherokee.

Nonleague. Stephanie Toy totaled five goals and three assists, and Nikki McMonagle netted three and set up two goals in powering top-ranked Moorestown to a 10-3 triumph over visiting Shore Regional.
