Jonathan Caputo, who served as football coach at Audubon the previous two seasons, has been named the coach at Buena.

Caputo is a former assistant coach at Buena and still teaches health and physical education at the school. He replaces Paul Callahan, who resigned after the season.

"I am excited about the opportunity at Buena," Caputo said. "I feel that I can have a great impact on the players, the program, the school, and community. The school district and I are committed to give the players the best opportunity to have success."

Audubon went 5-5 in each of Caputo's two seasons. It was the first time Audubon had consecutive .500-or-better seasons since compiling winning records from 1981 through 1985.

This past season, Audubon qualified for the South Jersey Group 1 playoffs, losing, 27-25, in the first round to a Pennsville team that was undefeated at the time.
