Tues. S.J. girls’ roundup: C.H. West reaches swimming final

Chatham is the last team standing in the Lions' path to perfection, with the teams scheduled to meet in the state final on Sunday at the College of New Jersey.

Cherry Hill West (14-0) received strong performances across the board. Amy Stelmaszyk, Courtney Patterson and Jenna Zagoren won two individual events apiece and each also competed on two winning relay teams.

Girls' Basketball

Trenton Catholic added to its Burlington County League banner collection, sewing up the Liberty Division title with a 69-51 victory at Rancocas Valley.

Briyona Canty tossed in 21 points for the Iron Mikes (8-0 division), who broke open a tight game by outscoring the Red Devils, 39-24, over the second and third quarters.

Jasmyne Lewis (18 points) and Lauren Moses (16) paced Rancocas Valley, which was coming off a 41-27 win at Sterling in Sunday's South Jersey Invitational championship.

In another Burlington County League game, Burlington City's Afia Agyemang led all scorers with 26 points, but Burlington Township benefited from more balance in taking a 76-50 road win.

Carin Arline scored 24, Simi Adewumi totaled 18 points and 19 rebounds, and Alicia Bradley came within a point of the triple double - finishing with nine points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists for the Falcons.

Colonial. One season after sharing the Liberty Division championship with Haddonfield, Sterling stands alone atop the division after closing out conference play with a 61-42 rout at Gateway.

Monica Burch (13 points) and Kylie O'Donnell (12) combined to make seven three-point baskets for the Silver Knights (15-1 conference). Meghan Nowak had 22 points for the Gators.

Nonleague. Junior center Marisa Randazzo pulled down a season-high 12 rebounds to go with 17 points, and Kellen McGinley - Moorestown's lone 12th grader - added 13 points as the Quakers celebrated senior night with a 49-29 home win over Highland.

Jade Bonder's 15 points led Williamstown, which overcame a slow start to rally past host Pemberton, 46-37.
